I've seen it asked a number of times but have yet to see it answered...

Does anyone know if there is an age minimum to eat in the Supper Club aboard the Spirit Class ships (specifically Nick and Nora's on the Miracle)?

Thanks.

Supper Club FAQ (http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Nouveau_Supper_Club.aspx)

There's nothing stated about a minimum age, but there is also nothing stated about a children's menu or reduced price.

What age were you thinking about, and more importantly, why would you want to?

Ton,

Thanks for your response.

To answer your questions, I haven't yet decided that I will take my 3 1/2 year old to th Supper Club but since we are considering it for his grandmother's birthday celebration, and considering how close he is to her and how much he is looking foerward to cellebrating her birthday with her, we might decide to have him join us.

Try your child at the regular dining time. If they are having a hard time sitting through that meal it will be worse at the specialty places as that meal takes a little longer.

There is no minumim age for the supper club, but there is no discount or children's menu available.
Personally I would not reccomend taking a 3 1/2 year old there. Dinner takes between 2 1/2-3 hours, sometimes longer. I think it is a lot to ask of a 3 year old to sit still that long.
The supper club is an "intimate" setting with low lighting, music and white glove service. If your 3 year old can sit quietly and not disrupt anyone else, more power to you, by all means bring him/her, but if you aren't sure, I would utilize Camp Carnival and celebrate grandma's birthday again in the regular dining room the next night, so your child can participate as well.

Not only that but would you really want to pay $25.00 for a 3-1/2 year old to eat dinner? I am thinking the supper club is meant for the adult crowd.

I think the 3 1/2 year old would have a lot better time at Camp Carnival and I would also think your time would be a little more relaxing also. I'm a very supportive to people with children and cruises. I just think a 3 1/2 year old would not want to be there. No fun for them. I don't however think there is an age limit.

The question you should ask yourself about your son is "can he sit through a 2 1/2+ hour dinner?" If not Camp Carnival has a nice program for the kids in the evening. Make your reservations for later and get him dinner and take him to Camp Carnival. If your answer is yes, by all means take him. If you're not sure and do take him and he gets "antsy" keep in mind that everyone, including you and your family, wants to enjoy a wonderful dining experience. The staff is usually quite good about making sure the "little ones" are sort of entertained.

If you do go to Nick and Nora's everything is outstanding, service, presentation and the food.

I took my 15 and 10 year old girls to the club. They appreciate great food and smart presentaion.
They thought it was an awesome experience, and did fine with the 2.5 hours as there were many courses to keep them busy.

No doubt your girls appreciated it as my 15 year old would, but there is a world of difference between your girls and a toddler. I have no problem with children being anywhere as long as they are behaved, but I still think having a child that young sitting still thru a multi course 2 1/2 hr dinner is no fun for the child or the parents.

Let's see how I can sugar coat this.
Taking your 31/2 yr old to the supper club would be incredibly RUDE to all the other guests. It is a pure adult setting.

Thanks for all the input...

I have absolutely no conerns about my child's ability to behave in the syupper club environment. He is very mature for his age and has been raised with discipline and has been taught to act appropriately in certain environments.

Will he be bored? That's another question entirely and the sole reason that we have not yet decided on our final plans.
