The "search" function doesn't seem to be working this evening so I'll ask here.... What are the VF cabins like??? Sailing on HAL for the 1st time in November and would like any info we can get.
Thank you,

They are the same as the other catagories, its just the location thats different :) Those cabins are usully way far away from the elevators and near the aft or forward of the ship, more movement than other catagories. :)

Aren't there some VF cabins near the front that have steel railing partitions? We have a VF guarantee on the Zuiderdam.

We had a VF on the Westerdam last december, we were actually upgraded from the guarantee we booked. We were on the navigation deck only four doors from the bridge, I actually thought it was an awesome room, we had a plexiglass rail and the bridge actually helped block the wind a bit, it was neat to lean over the rail and see the bridge. My husband loved that the closest elevator to our room went directly to the casino:rolleyes: I personally didn't notice any more movement than any other cruise we had been on, although it was fairly calm seas.

We have a VF on the Zuiderdam in a few weeks' time. It's quite close to an elevator and the stairs, and not right forward or aft either. It has the plexiglass balcony railing too. :)

That's a good upgrade. VA cabin if I'm not mistaken, very nice indeed.
