Does any one who's been there recently have any suggestions?

Grab a cab and go to the little fishing village about 10 minutes away. Beautiful beach, cheap beer, and not too many people. Sonia

we were just there last month on the Carnival Miracle. We went horse back riding had a great time. You can even negotiate the price. They charged my wife and I 45 a piece and let our 10 year old daughter go for only 5. The little fishing village is beautifull. Have a great time.

Carnival didn't offer this excursion in Costa Maya but when you get off the pier right behind Fat Tuesdays they have a booth set up offering excursions. I was a little weary about it but everything turned out great. We took a van to the fishing village called Mahahual and he droped us off at the water park. This is just a little shack by the water. Then before you can leave to ride the horse they ask for your sign and sail card, don't know why, and didn't really won't to leave it with them. I guess that way they know they'll get their horses back. Have a great trip.
