Has anyone stayed at this hotel? It looks really nice, but I know looks can be deceiving. Any info good or bad would be appreciated.

bbiggar - I am staying there in november and would also like to know if it is as nice as it seems. It looks beautiful and we got a good price. Anyone out there want to give us a short review?

I'll let you know on the 19th http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif, We're staying there this Saturday (pre-cruise). It's rated 'resort', and the info I got on the bidding sites was that it's very nice. Did you check the pics on the website? 3 days and counting http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Yes and it's nice.
I wanted a hotel that is what I call a "destination hotel" with all kinds of facilities so if San Juan was a scary, inhospitable place that we could stay right there and have a good time.
We fell in love with Intercontinental and their associated brands after a stay at their property in Miami and I have never been disappointed yet. They tend to be pricey and identifying them on Priceline or Hotwire can be tricky but there are board members who are really wizzes at that who can help.

Thanks Chris,
I'm sure we made the right decision. We paid a little more than what we could have gotten the Caribe Hilton for, but we thought it would be nicer staying at the Intercontinental for a couple of days prior to the cruise.
