Since the Rotterdam isn't a Vista class ship, there is self-serve laundry in addition to the ship's laundry. If memory serves (and they haven't changed) it costs $3 a load (detergent is provided) to wash and dry ($2 for one and $1 for the other, I don't remember which is which).

Sorry, I don't take fitness classes. We only use the machines and free weights in the gym. Someone else will have to help with the DVD cost too.

If you're in a veranda cabin or higher there is no cost for the DVDs.

There is a self service laundry with 3 or 4 washers and dryers on each deck except the Navigation deck where the real suites are. Bring your own dryer sheets. The soap is biodegradable, dispensed automatically, and they don't want you to use fabric softener.
There are specials on laundry by the bag and an unlimited laundry package for the length of the cruise. We paid $130 for 35 days on board for laundry and pressing. We do not send hand washables to the ship's laundry. There is a retractable clothes line over the tub in the bathroom.

We've spent 60+ days on board Rotterdam and love her. I think you will too.

Classes (including yoga, fitball, spinning) were $11 each on our Westerdam cruise last year. There is also a weekly pass (don't know exact price) for about the cost of 3 or 4 classes ($35? $40?), so if you plan to take several, the pass might be worth it.

Does any one know if the Zaandam has yoga classes? I have just started to take classes and would like to continue on my cruise in January. I have a DVD too - do the cabins have players?
