When in Juneau, does anyone know how late the Lido stays open for dinner.
I have heard that the Lido will serve later than ususual for the those passengers who are going on the tours. We are going on a tour that gets back late and I was trying to avoid room service.

Don't quote me on this...but I think it was 10pm.... the Italian station was open until midnight (great pizza).

Thanks for your input. I think we will be back around 9 PM. Does HAL do the midnight buffet each night in Alaska or just the Grand Buffet? Is there a themed midnight buffet certain nights?

There were absolutely no midnight buffets on the Zuidy...the 'chocolate extravaganza' was the only evening buffet that *I* saw.
You're able to get room service (great menu), pizza and pasta, and burgers/dogs/chicken sandwiches until midnight of each night on lido.
In Alaska the ship is like a ghost town around midnight....

Thanks for your reply.
I haven't seen a midnight buffet since I sailed on the Carnival Glory a few years ago. (not that I need it)
After my tour I'll go up to the Lido.

The only problem we had with the Zuiderdam in Alaska last month was the funny hours at the buffet. There was an evening dining option available, but not very late. AIRC it was about 6:30-8:30 or maybe 9:00. It seemed the buffet was always opening and closing during the day. I don't know why they don't just make it 24 hours. I do think the pizza and ice cream were available more hours than the full buffet.

We were on the Zuiderdam last week and had a late tour in Juneau. We got back to the ship about 8:45 and had supper in the Lido. I had prime rib and it was delicious. One of the best meals of the cruise. The hours for the Lido did seem to change every night. Watch the daily program. There was food available late night - themed Italian, Chinese, etc. Seems like it was in the 10:30 - 11:30 range, but I don't know for sure, because I was in bed. We were up early every morning to see the wildlife, etc. The chocolate extravaganza started at 10:45 - midnight and it was very crowded!! Have a great cruise!
