Hi Cruise veterans

Im a newbie here and first time cruiser on the Legend July 18, 2004. I booked my vacation at the NY Times travel show at the Carnival booth. I booked an ocean view and was upgraded to Balcony, cat 8F, Verandah deck. They showed me the available cabins left and said, here pick what you want.. So I picked Rm 7262, Aft. Looks to me like the balcony is the last one before the other balcs inset more.

I leveraged a little, cause I had a Disney cruise booked and told them I would swap, ( I had an inside cabin with DiZ) which I did. It saved me from flying to Fl.

So,,is this good. I havent a clue?

Oh, when doing the math it comes out to the same $, factoring in the airfare & possible motel overnight in fl. But, I got a balcony, what seems to be a nice deck and 1 extra day at sea.

All replies appreciated..Has anyone ever been in room 7262 or that area of the ship?

Welcome to the board

I think its a great cabin!

I have not had that specific cabin but I have been on that deck and in a similar, aft, location. It's a great area of the ship to be in and your choice of specific cabin location was excellent. Good job.

I like the Verandah deck 7 because it is below the Panorama deck and above the Empress deck, both all stateroom decks so it should be quiet.

Your location close to the elevators/stairs is also a plus IMHO because it will be easy to find your way back to your cabin from any deck; just locate the stairs/elevators that are all the way aft (back) on any deck and you've got it made.

You also picked one of the best ships in the fleet that has some of the most consistently great reviews by other CC members. You're going to have a fabulous cruise.

If you have any questions let us know ok?

Hi,

Should be a great cabin. We were just on the Legend (3/28) and had cabin 7258 (2 down from you with a 30 foot balcony-awesome!) and 7282 an inside quad across the hall from you. This is an ideal location, 2 floors down from the lido and right by the elevators. You should be able to see over the life boats, my only complaint with our balcony. We couldn't see the water where it met the ship and therefore couldn't see the pilots hop on and off the ship. Not a big deal but fun to watch! Enjoy! We loved the Legend, had great service (cabin-say Hi to Juan- and dining), don't bother with room service just walk up two floors! Have fun,

Cindy

We are on the legend also 7/18/2004. We do not know our cabins yet since we booked straight Qtys and will not find out until closer to the cruise date or at the dock
