Family of three going on another cruise, the Holiday this time. Would like to here about the kids' program on this ship and anything else about it. We will be doing Cozumel (again), Playa Del Carmen and New Orleans. Also staying 2 more nights in N.O. after the cruise. Got the hotel booked but waiting on the rental car.

I have enjoyed all my cruises on the Holiday, and am booking another soon. There are several of us here who feel she's a great ship. Others don't care for her.

The Holiday was in drydock in December, and has new carpets, bedding, etc. in all cabins. Also had other work done. She'll be moving to the new homeport in Mobile, AL in October.

I like the intimacy of a smaller ship, as it's easy to familiarize yourself and get around easier than on the larger ships. The staff and crew are absolutely terrific! Food is fabulous, and entertainment is very good - at least the two Broadway-type shows. Don't know about the other shows. Lots of activities, but I generally find a quiet deck to enjoy the sun and breeze.

I don't know anything about Camp Carnival, except what I've read on this board, and seems like the kids really enjoy it. I did go to the children's area on my last cruise, just to see what it's like, and there's lots of space, play area, games. The children's pool is on Promenade Deck. (There are two other pools on the Holiday, as well.)

Any specific questions?

Thanks guys, I am looking forward to trying my first "little" ship. Our daughter loves Camp Carnival and we only had one bad experience on the Sensation.

Anyone else want to add to the Holiday info, I would be glad to hear it.

if the OP doesn't mind, I'd like to add a question. Is the Holiday in the same class of ships as the Celebration? Does it have basically the same layout except "the names have been changed to protect the innocent" http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif as in the names of the dining rooms, lounges, etc.? TIA

The ships in the "Holiday Class" are Holiday, Jubilee, and Celebration. All ships in the Holiday Class have basically the same layout.
