View Full Version : * Tally * of "Ship you'd NEVER cruise on again"....

OK, before y'all read this - I know. I need a life. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif However, with our TV cable service out tonight, I had little to do. SO......I went to the 'NEVER sail again' thread out of curiosity. There were 98 replies.

Out of those, most of them were chit-chat, or folks saying they liked certain ships, or that they would never sail on NCL, Costa, RCI, etc.

It was nice to see that there are ONLY 28 posts where folks actually said they will never cruise certain CARNIVAL ships again.

As far as the Carnival ships' negatives - they are tallied as follows:

Carnivale ~ 2
Celebration ~ 2
Conquest ~ 2
Destiny ~ 2
Ectasy ~ 1
Fascination ~ 1
Holiday ~ 9
Jubilee ~ 5
Mardi Gras ~ 1
Paradise ~ 1
Pride ~ 1
Sensation ~ 1

SO.......What I'm happy to report is that, although there were 98 replies, ONLY 28 were negative toward certain Carnival ships. Not too bad, huh? http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

OK, going to bed now. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Wow! I appreciate your diligence. My only sorrow is to see 5 votes against Jubilee. While it was not my favorite ship, we DID have a super time and met 3 great Cruise Critic families. Would we sail again on Jubilee? Of course, especially out of Tampa.

Way to go, Cotton! I applaud your efforts, as this is something I probably would have done to keep myself busy since I'm not planning a wedding anymore! (having withdrawls) lol, j/k.

I have to add one more vote to the Holiday. I think it was a great ship in its day, but the vibration problems were enough to keep me off of that ship. I will also not try to sail the Ecstasy again. I've like been on it many times, because, like, Carnival hasn't switched its itinerary for a long time. I love the 3 day cruises. I couldn't care less for Ensenada, but it's just the idea of cruising for 3 days instead of vegging out in front of the TV .... its just something fun to do!

I can't say enough good things about the Pride, though. Maybe the Sweetie and I will cruise her again someday :-D

No, Gilligan seems to be away on a three-hour tour, so he didn't get to express his opinion.

Cotton,
Thanks for sorting it out for us, glad to see the Celebration only got 2 votes, still one of my favorite ships.

http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Cotton dear..you are on top of things! I, like Doug have to put a plug in for the Celebration. Even though I've sailed her the one time, she will without a doubt always be my favorite ship!

I am curious, did you figure out which ship had the most votes regardless of cruiseline? Great efforts on your part. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Nope. Most of the negatives about other cruiselines were general..."I'll never sail Costa again!", etc. although a few did name ships.

I was sorry to see that the Holiday got the most votes. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Jubilee second, but after all, they're two of the oldest in the fleet. Since the Holiday got only 9 though, I guess that's still not too bad - since thousands still cruise on her every single week! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
