I always confirm my hotel and air reservations before I leave on a trip. Do you think I need to call Carnival and make sure all is good to go? I have documentation, but I'm a worrywort. Thanks.

No. If you have your cruise docs and all the necessary ID, you're all set. Should there be any type problem, they would contact you. Quit worrying! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Did you purchase your cruise directly with Carnival? If not they won't want to talk to you.

Well it's not that they won't want to talk to YOU specifically, its just that they want to talk to your TA because they all belong to the same club and we are not members.

Pretty much

It's in all probably to protect us from some OTHER TA going in and changing our reservation around, sending us on a cruise to Iraq.

Hey TA's, what IS the reason they don't want to talk to the legitimate passengers on a booking?

Now about this being a worrywort thing.

Change term from worrywort to "very devoted and prepared planner" You don't need to do anything different and you come off like a pro when all your efforts pay off in the form of a fabulous cruise vacation rather than "Oh see, what were you worrying about"

You and I know that the ship would sink and everyone would die if it were not for our obsessive efforts so let's give credit where credit is due shall we?

Yeah I think you need confirmation but if you've got Carnival cruise documents in your hand that's it, you don't need any more

Make copies so you can hold them in both hands

Happy Cruising

All I would add is to fill out the Carnival Fun Pass online. If you can't find it when you get to Carnival's website (I never could) then ask Chris of Cruisingislife to point you in the right direction (he did for me).

Also fill out the documents completely. Do NOT pack these items in the bag you give the porter!!!!! Have your ID and documents in hand and you're good to go.

i am already booked through a cruise co. for may of 2005. got a confirmation via email right away. then i went to the carnival site and choose gifts. i pretended i was going to purchase something. put in my booking # and there i was. our names and cabin #. it sure feels good to see it. now i can concentrate on the hotel and flight. and i am like you ''a worrywart''. i always double check everything for my peice of mind. have a great time.
