We are looking at sailing on the Pride in May and have been offered a balcony cabin that is reversed in layout (very wide but not deep). There are two cabins on each balcony deck with this configuration (the good news is that the balcony is three times the size of normal balcony). Examples are 6234,6281,7260,7303.
Any feed back on these would be greatly appreciated.

I asked this same question about 7260 on the Miracle but nobody has any info on them. We are sailing May 9 and have this room. When are you sailing?

When I was booking our cruise on the Pride, 7260 was a cabin that I considered. I checked so many cabins, I may be confusing the issues. I apoligize if I do. But, this may be a handicapped accessible cabin or it may not have a sofa (or both) I do remember that when I found I more info, I elected to choose another cabin. I don't mind the handicapped (I am, but I don't need the special cabin) but I do need a sofa. I have back problems and it is nice to have the sofa instead of just the bed or a hard chair to sit on. I got all the detailed information about the room by calling Carnival. I gave them the room number and asked for the details of that room. They were more than happy to help me with this information. After first going to a 9A (8235, we ended up with an AFT cabin and wraparound 220 sq ft balcony. The prices had dropped and we got the category 11 for less than we had booked the 9A. The balcony is a big issue for us. We would prefer relaxing on our own private balcony rather than dealing with the crowds on deck and fighting for lounge chairs.
Just remember that whatever room you select, you will be on a cruise. Isn't that the most important part of the whole trip?

The balconies you are talking about are just as deep as the regular balconies. They are sought after..if you have a chance, get one!

We are sailing the Pride on May 9th and originally picked out cabin 6234 because of it's unusal design. When we sailed on the Legend in December, we actually went to the cabin and the people let us in. It is a handicapped equipted cabin but you only see that in the bathroom. The balcony is huge and the room is wide, not deep. The only problem for us was the closets. There is only one closet and we bring a lot of clothes. The room is also near the stewarts storage room and the people in that cabin did say they heard a little bit of noise in the morning as they were taking out their carts. It is a really unusual room but was not for us. We changed our 8E cabin to 6220 which is an extended balcony but a traditional size room. When we were on the Legend, we were lucky to get an upgrade to a Cat 11 but it doesn't appear that this is going to happen again. We already have received our docs for this cruise. Whoppee...can't wait to pack and leave.

When I was looking to book on the Spirit for 01/04 I researched EXTENSIVELY the staterooms. We chose one of those rooms. They are indeed meant for handicapped accessible. (Footnote; when we arrived @ the port, we were upgraded to an 11 suite!)
