It was mentioned to get a "bar set-up" in our cabin - what exactly is that? And how do you do that? I was told it was less expensive than using the "mini-bar" in our cabin..which I assume is similar to hotel mini-bars...

When we board, we order (through room service) bottles of the liquors we and our friends enjoy ... vodka, bourbon, etc. There is a listing of types and brands (along with prices) in the information book located in the cabins. Some include 3 cans of soda. We then order more or use what is in our cabin refrigerator. We then have cocktail parties in our cabin and take the bottles to our friends cabins for get-togethers.

With our friends we often share the expense by each cabin ordering one type of liquor. It is easy and very convenient.

Enjoy!

Or you can call Ship Services at 1-800-541-1576 and pre-order your bottles of liquor for your cabin. We have done that and alway request the bottles without the tonics, etc - price difference.

If you order on board you will pay a 15% gratuity - ordering by phone - none. Just take along a copy of your credit card statement in case there is a problem.

Also if you are cruising out of Florida and you don't wait until you are 10 miles out to sea, another 6% Florida tax will be added on.
