Hi there everyone...

Did anyone participate in the Camp Carnival dinners for the kids on Formal night? Just wondering how that coordinated with your scheduled Dinner time in the Dining room. We dressed up our boys last year for the first formal night.. but then last year decided to let them eat with thier camp friends for the second formal night.. and we loved having a night to ourselves at dinner.

Any experiences?
Thanks,
Cathy

Yes, we had no problems. We let them dine with Camp Carnival one of the formal nights and brought them with us the other.

We were on the Pride Eastern Caribbean and Camp Carnival had a "Coketail" party in the Disco for the kids about 20 min before our seating. We took them to the "coketail" party then went to eat our formal night. The kids were escorted by the Camp staff to the Lido Deck after the party to eat pizza. If we wanted, we could get them from the Lido deck and sign them out or they could stay, which ours did, and they were taken to the show to sit together. So, My DH and I saw the show together while they watched together. Camp got better seats because they had roped off an area for them up front. After the show, we picked them up. It was a really nice night. The kids had a blast also.

Well, we had the 5:45, not the late seating. It worked out well. On the captains party night they had the coketail party, which starts early so that the adults can attend the cocktail party. On other nights, the camp carnival dinner starts at 6, but they're there to do check-in before that. Even so, we'd end up dropping her off right around 6 and then going to dinner. Being a few minutes late didn't cause any harm. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
