We'll be going to Venice a couple of days before our Oceania Cruise begins and would like to visit some shops. I've heard they have some great mask shops and we'd like to purchase one as a souvenir...and suggestions for specialty shops or reasonable prices?

There are great stores selling them all over Venice..esp., behind St. Marcs square.
If you are in St. Marcs with your back facing the water go to the back left corner follow that street and there are fabulous ones there.
You can also get them in the airport ;-) but they won't be as incredible as some in the stores.
There is no such thing as reasonable prices in Europe though....

Finding a mask in Venice is as easy as finding a bottle of wine.:)
Don't worry, they'll find you! ;)

Like Jane110 said,"don't worry, they'll find you". Just in the immediate vacinity of San Marcos Sq. there must be a dozen mask shops. Also, remember in Venice weather it's restaurants or mask shops, the further you get from the Tourist araes like San Marcos or Rialto Bridge etc. etc the cheaper it gets but still NOT as low as Wal-Mart, so don't look for a "buy one..get one"sort of thing. You'll still pay the tourist buck.
