My son will be 8 on our cruise, but after reading the activities for the 8-9 year olds vs the 6-7 year olds, he thinks he would like the younger activities better - and I agree. How flexible is Disney with allowing him to at least try the Club vs the Lab?

Thanks

Hi,
usually if the child is close to his birthday they are pretty flexible.
If it has been several months since his birthday, then it is up to the counselors. I have read posts from people who said the lab didnt have a lot of kids and the counselors let the kids be in different groups if requested. Others were told no.
I would say, aks when you arrive, the worst thing would be tem telling you no, so it couldnt hurt. They do try to accommodate when they can.

Reading the acticites may seem different than actually seeing and doing them.
The 6-7 year old activites seem very babyish for an 8 year old IMO. My son was in the lab at both 8 & 9 and there were so many interesting things for him to do. More boyish things whereas the 6-7 year old group seemed more for girls and the younger set. Why not have him try his own age group out first. He may be pleasantly surprised.
