When I log in and try to search the HAL board, I just get a blank screen. Is anyone else having any problem searching?

I just got this from Cruise Critic:

Hi there:

This means that your search is timing out. I suggest that you try a very simple search – maybe just one word. If you are entering multiple terms, the search engine will look for results containing each – not ALL – of those terms.

Hope this helps!

I have found the search function to be very sporadic. Sometimes it works like a charm. Other times it times out and/or gives the blank screen. I never search for more than two words, and generally just one.

Agree with Jim, it is sporadic. Sometimes it goes into cyber space and I kill it, reload CC ,and do the same exact search and it works. I never use more than 2 words.

A lot depends on how many people are trying to access CC at the same time you are doing your search. The boards seem to be acting a little strange the last couple of days. I have a very stable high speed broad band connection and have had several double posts as I pushed the post reply twice when I wasn't sure the original request had been completed. Hopefully the boards will settle down and things will return to normal soon.

Have a great next cruise.

Have been on and off HAL's site quite a few times over the last 5 - 6 days searching for things, checking out tours, etc.

Have had no problems. (Maybe I was just lucky??)

The OP is talking about the HAL Web site not Cruise Critic..

Hal had a notice on their site that they would be upgrading this past weekend..Wonder if they are still upgrading..

I'm not so sure about that. It was posted thusly:

Those "log on" and "board" references would lead someone to think Cruise Critic. We do "log on" here, but don't use that term so much on the HAL website.
