what is the tipping policy -suggested amounts to be tipped -- do you tip directly or on account
restaurants other then the d/r -- is there a surcharge for dining there-- is it just first come first serve by reservation only -- do you tip extra in those restaurants
glad to read that o allows you to bring your own liquor and wine aboard without a hassle

From Oceania's Cruise Guide:
"Gratuities
How much you choose to tip is a personal matter and completely at your discretion. For your convenience, a suggested gratuity in recognition of outstanding personal service of $11.50 per Guest, per day, will automatically be added to your shipboard account. Gratuities are combined in a pool due to the fact that the ship offers multiple open-seating venues and you will likely be served by many different staff members during the course of your stay onboard. An 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage purchases. Naturally, you may increase or decrease gratuities at your sole discretion.
Guests occupying a Penthouse, Vista or Owner’s Suite will have an additional $3.50 gratuity per Guest, per day added in recognition of outstanding Butler Service."
"Dining Reservations
Reservations for the Polo Grill and Toscana are required, and may be made with the Maître d’Hôtel each day as listed in Oceania Currents. Reservations are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not needed for The Grand Dining Room, Tapas on the Terrace or Terrace Café."
You are allowed 1 reservation in each specialty restaurant (2 each if you are in Concierge or a Suite), and additional reservations on a space available basis. There is no charge for specialty restaurants, and additional tipping is purely optional.
