Then the cruise comes and they go and thats it: poof! gone for good

I have to say that some of us may feel "run off" or in my case intimidated into a regression from posting. I joined this board a month ago, and was so happy to try to help someone with my 2 cents worth, when "****" seemed to jump on me, insinuating that I was not being honest about my advice. I honestly felt bullied. I have been cruising for over 20 years steadily from Europe to Hawaii, & through the canal 5 times so I thought it would be fun to partake in these conversations with other fun loving cruisers, for I STILL HAVE A LOT TO LEARN from others. I was the one who posted an apology to her, if I came across as trying to look important for giving my advice. (I have never tried or wanted to be important, but I apologized anyway.) It seemed to me that it just isn't worth posting anymore. I will probably check here once in a while to see if I can learn. I might check back in a week or even less, but I won't post again unless it's VERY important, and I won't bother anyone with my advice again. I wish everyone many years of fun cruises.

There seems to be a small group of CC members whose biggest thrill is to "flame" or put down others here who are not as knowledgable or experienced as they are. Good point BabsAndPaul, nobody should be made to feel bad for posting. I just wish I remembered what all that was about.

Not that it matters I suppose but usually when its me that says something stupid everybody jumps down my throat, I sweet talk my way out of it and we move along. This is the first I've heard of somebody having a grudge against somebody else.

Now I'm really glad I started this topic or we might never have known how Sea-cruise felt. Hopefully he/she will hang around and regail us with some stories of his/her many adventures.

Thank you to all of you who are goodhearted and basically fun loving human beings, who posted a response to me. I am on a limited income, so I have booked obstructed view cabins for grandsons and us. I have been from the bottom deck, inside, sniffing engine fumes, to the top catagories,( due to upgrades from being a past passenger). It really lightens my heart to read that all people on cruisecritic.com are not the same. I look forward to getting along with everyone, including those who didn't understand that I'm a nobody. (I LOVE to be a nobody...because that makes me a likeable person). Thank you again to you folks who made me feel like I could participate here.

Unfortunately, there are one or two that like to stir up trouble, so I know exactly what you mean. I have no patience with the ones who are intentionally rude and tactless.
