We are considering an Alaska Cruise next July. We will have 21 people, with kids from 6 to 18 years old. I am intrigued by Holland American Lines and their traditional stylings, etc. and am a bit turned off by Norwegian Pearl tacky looks. How are the kids' clubs on Holland, esp. Noordam, and will my kids have a great time on this more traditional line, or should we go with NCLv which might offer more to do on board?
Thanks

:) I can only speak about the Westerdam which we traveled on a recently to Alaska. We had four kids with a group of 11 family members and we all loved the cruise. My children (7 and 10) loved club HAL. It was our first cruise so we had nothing to compare it to but they had a blast. The had art projects, scavenger hunts, ice cream socials, sports, board games, movies, ranger talks and more. My sister took her children (3 and 5) and they loved it too. The older children seemed to have fun as well. Everyone pu on a talent show at the end of the trip.
For an Alaskan trip it is difficult to beat HAL. Great naturalists, ports and even if they didn't like Club Hal, they would still be very busy. Some days I wished they didn't want to go to Club Hal. It was a great cruise.
