My adult son is about to book his first cruise, and asked me about skeet shooting from the ship. I know many years ago this was done, but I don't recall hearing anything about it in recent years.

Anybody know? Thx.

They used to do it many many years ago--jsut like hitting golf balls off the back of the ships. But because its not good for the ocean they discontinued doing so. Sorry

Yes, Cotton, I remember skeet shooting on an NCL cruise years ago, but none recently.

I think its a combination environmental/safety issue that eliminated it.

Good enough! I didn't think so. As far as the golf balls, I'd already told him that's a no-go, and I'm glad it isn't allowed. Thx, y'all! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Actually, If I believe that show on the Travel channel the other night, they have made bio-degradable golf balls that turn into fish food now.

Like you're going to go check

I think they have something to replace skeet shooting though, drunken teen shooting.

Oh maybe that was a dream

Happy Cruising
