we are staying in BB6108 anyone have an opinion of this cabin or location?
it's towards the bow.
This is our first cruise and we wanted (well I did since i'm not a people person) a place to hide when i've had enough.

of course we didn't know anything about the ship. but our TA has booked many of our families' vacation and got that cabin for us.

would appreciate any opinions.

We were in B6208 on the Rotterdam and loved it. We were pretty far aft, but as the cruise was NE/Canada we didn't have much motion. I realize that your cabin is far forward, and depending on the itinerary and time of year you may be in for some motion. You'll be close to the forward Lido area, Terrace Grill, Crow's Nest, the Ocean Bar, and the atrium, but on the other end from the dining room.
I think there are advantages to being forward, and we do prefer portside. The only possible disadvantage is if the seas are rough. If you know that you are prone to motion sickness go prepared with OTC meclazine, the prescription patch, or SeaBands.
Volendam is a great ship, her theme is flowers. You'll love the size of the rooms, the whirlpool tub, the drawer space, the crew, AND the service.
