Air-Tran just moved our flight up to 11:58am and need to get off ship early now. Has anyone done the unassisted debarkation where you carry off your own luggage? Any problems with this? Or do you think we could get the colored tags that let us off the ship first and still make it to Ft Lauderdale airport ( getting off Triumph in Miami port though) and get to airport an hour ahead of time. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Patty

I was on the Triumph last month and we carried our own luggage off of the ship. We were off the ship and on the road by eight but that does not mean that something cannot happen to hold up debarkation. There are plenty of taxi's waiting outside to pick you up.

My family traveled on the Glory last summer and they had the unassisted debarkation. We thought it was great!! We always hated waiting for our tag to be called. Make sure that your party can handle all of your luggage without assistance. We were off the ship, took a taxi back to the hotel to get our car, and were on the highway on the way home by 9:30!!! It was much better than waiting for your tag to be called!!!
