I know it is $25.00 per person, but how much to tip? Do you give 20% of $50.00 (2 people)even though the dinner is worth a whole lot more? Any suggestions from cruisers who have been? Thanks Diane

You know...when all these alternative restaurants first surfaced, we were told that the extra charge was the tip for the waiters and help in that specific restaurant. Now, it is $25 per person and you are talking about tipping beyond that? I just don't get it. Is the $25pp not now considered the tip? I am not trying to sound cheap, because I have always tipped at restaurants, especially since I once was a waitress, but geez what happened to the fact that you are not eating in the main dining room, so in that respect no food is being eaten there when we are in the alternative? Are we also suppose to tip the main dining room too, even though we may have eaten elsewhere? When does all this tipping stop?

It is my understanding that the tip is included in the $25.PP If you want to dip the Headwaiter that is your option. If you want to add to the tip to say a big thank you do it if not don't.

The $25 is supposed to be the tip. It is entirely up to you to tip more than that based on service. This supper club was well worth it. The food was phenominal.

The first time we ate there I went in considering the extra charge per person the tip but at the end they bring the standard charge slip which shows the extra charge AND has an area to add a tip.

I did and thought it appropriate to do so but also wouldnt have felt bad if I didn't.

On that first Legend cruise we ate there 3 times because the service in the dining room was lousy so I figured they had enough of my money anyway.

The next time we sailed the Legend the service was so awesome (best ever) we wouldnt have even though of not going to the dining room.

I think formal nights are the second and next to last night but I'm not totally sure because we had a special Christmas Dinner stuck in our cruise which threw the schedule out of wack

Happy Cruising

You should tip the main dining room even if you ate somewhere else. The people who serve you in the buffet area are the people who work the main dining room

Thank you for all your help. We had never eaten in the supper clubs on our other cruises,so I wasn't sure what was correct.

You are going to love the supper club on the Legend. We ate there twice on our cruise in Dec. 2003. Have a great cruise! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
