you will get to see both big shows- 1 each night...assuming this is a 2 nighter....

alot of partying going on....

many things (activities) to do- they schedule as much as possible on a 2 day cruise....

enjoy...it will be short, but alot of fun!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The CTN is great!! It has everything that Marshabear said. Also, if you should decide to have a spa treatment book it as soon as you get on board.Have a great trip!

The bars and the casino will be open, so some of us would be occupied. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

We, too are booked on a cruise to nowhere out of New York on the Legend in october. The cruise is everything a 7 day one is except shorter..so we have to sqeeze more in. The weekend cruises to nowhere are more party cruises then the laid back ones that go to a port stop. You will find casinos are opened after a little bit after sailing, as are the stores opened. (if you see something you want to buy get it when you see it coz surely they will be sold out)

Can someone tell me if the specialty resturants will be taking reservations on cruises to nowhere?

yes, i do remember the supper club being open on our legend CTN...

i just remembered....one of the "bargains" while aboard this cruise was an incredible buy on Absolut Vodka...can't remember the price, but everyone was buying it up...there was no limit....something about an agreement with NYC port to let anyone (over 21 of course) buy as much as they wanted...may have been a tax fee, but was still an awesome deal!! supposedly they sold over 1000 bottles!!!

by the way, take good care of our ship....we sail it from lauderdale after your CTN trip in october!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would love a cruise to nowhere out of Galveston. Our favorite days are the days at sea. Ports of call have little interest to us on a cruise. If I want to see Cozumel, or Grand Cayman, or Jamaica, I'll fly there.

I'd love a CTN! I just wish I could find one for longer than 2-3 days!

A couple of questions;

(1) Is Camp Carnival open?
(2) Do you need to go throught customs/immigration when you return?
(3) Is there a formal night?

I am booken on the Victory June 15th

Hi joebert,
Nice to hear someone else will be on the Victory 6/15 http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I posted a roll call a few weeks ago and have had no responses.
The only question I can help with is #3- the 2nd night is formal night however I have heard it is much more casual than a normal formal night. Since you carry on all your own luggage people probably don't want to pack the tux or gown.
Hooray!! I'm so happy there's another CCer onboard http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

on a cruise to nowhere there will be no porters. You will be carrying on and off your own luggage. On our first cruise to nowhere they made us open our bags and took a lot of liqour from peoples suitcases. I dont know if they still will do that now.
As far as Customs- I dont know the answer to that one. I do know that we had to wait til the ship has cleared before we were allowed to disembark.

I would appreciate any and all information when you get back from your cruises to nowhere and tell us what it was like.
