Elation....does she have a new look

Was just on a wesite that shows the celebration and her very sophisticated new look....also saw the inspiration.........has the elation gone thru this change or will I again be traveling w/ the signiture carnival pink bedspreads!!!!!

Not that I am opposed to the spash of colors that carnival was known for....but this new look is really good........

Just off the Elation and she looks very different then the Inspiration did. The color schemes are very different and (IMHO) much more elegant then Inspiration was.

Thanx Jim.....and I knw you are going to think I am a nut.....but what color were the bedspreads....were they solid pink or did they have a pattern........in the pitures I have seen of the ships that have been redone...there also seems to be alot of leather.....was this is the case....

I am really excited....as I always am about a cruise.....

Can you tell me what the prices for shore excursions was like? On the Carnival site it just rates them by one, two, or three dollar signs.

Why doesn't Carnival let you book and pay for shore excursions online?

I just got back from the Elation also and brought back a copy of the shore excursion prices. It is at home and I am at work now but if you email me at jimcald@umich.edu to remind me I will dig it out when I get home. It is quite a few pages long so if you know what it is you are interested in let me know otherwise I will try to scan the whole thing.

gawdy is one of carnivals atributes!!!!!!the glitz and glitter of las vegas.........

however the pictures I have seen of the ships that have been redone are realy nice....it seems that the cabins are warmmer looking not so utilitarian!!!!

could the days go faster!!!!!!!!

I tried to get it clearer but that was about as good as I could get it while keeping the size of the file reasonable. If you print the page it should be readable (it was when I printed it). If that does not work email me (jimcald@umich.edu) and I will send you a better quality scan (much larger file size though).

Quick Question on the listing of shore excursions. We are going to be going on the Elation this Sunday (Can't Wait!) and we really wanted to do the Mayan Ruins of Tulum from Cozumel, was one of the reasons we booked this cruise! I do not see it listed in the shore excursions!!

Anyone know if this is offered? On the Carnival website it is listed for the shore excursions.

In excursion description pages (handed out on the ship) that tour is listed but it also states that it may not be available on all intinerarys. The price sheet does not show it so I assume it is not available on this itinerary.
