Hi! Am doing the 12 day Rotterdam cruise of the Baltic 09/02/06 and would like to konw from those of you who have cruised the Baltic in the fall what the temperatures were like. I know every day can be different but in general, do I need a heavy coat or will a sweater do? Thanks for any info you may have for me.

We were on the Oosterdam in September 2003. The weather, that year, was exceptionally good. It didn't rain once - but we were lucky. Daytimes were in the 70's but it was cooler at night. We took fall jackets and layered them with fleece vests at night for on deck walking. We took the jackets with us on shore excursions but mostly didn't need them.

You'll have a great trip!

cheers

We did the Baltic late last Aug/early Sep on Oceania's Regatta, and had pretty good weather and smooth seas.

Most of the time shirtsleeves was fine, although light windbreaker did come in handy a couple of times.

We always plan on layering - and it usually works for us.
