Looking for a reasonable hotel in Ft Lauderdale close to dock, airport and restaurants for one night stay before we board the Westerdam. Some have recommended the Holiday Inn Express which in March is over $200 for one night. Came across the Hampton Inn at Airport North which is $188. I undertstand they have airport pickup and shuttle service to the dock. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It gets a very good review from Trip Advisor. We'll be staying there prior to a Thanksgiving cruise for $109 AAA rate.

We'll be staying there, too, before our Christmas cruise that leaves on Christmas Eve. Our travel agent (AAA) said Hampton Inns' quality is very consistent and she always recommends this one to people who are cruising from Ft. Lauderdale and arrive the day before the cruise departs.
Have fun! We're sure looking forward to our cruise!

We Have stayed at the Hampton Inn on Sterling in FLL. Reasonable, clean, with transfers from airport and to docks, and restaurants near by

We have stayed at hamptons across the country and very rarely stayed at one that disappointed us: in fact only once out of mayb 20 or more. For our Nov cruise we have decided to stay at the one in Plantation: they too have transfers from the airport and from hotel to the pier plus they will take you anyplace within a 5 mile raidous I think that the policy. The rate was lower than other Hampton Inns in Ft Lauderdale and I like the idea of knowing they will take us to a restaurant or whatever. Just an idea. NMnita
