You know, I'm usually not some sappy, mushy individual (I CAN be, just usually not..)..BUT, I came across this little ditty today and immediately thought of you guys and gals.

I've met some of you, and there are tons more that I can't wait to meet some day. You allow me to laugh, share my extremely warped sense of humor and opinions, vent when needed, and you have become a second family to me....God Bless Each of My CC Friends....WE ARE THE BESTEST THERE IS!!!!!


Every night I lie in bed
This little prayer inside my head

God bless my Mom and Dad
and bless my children too.
And God there's just one more thing

I wish that you would do

If you don't mind my asking
To just bless my 'puter too??

Now I know that it's not normal
To bless a small machine
But listen just a second
And I'll try to explain...

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends.
Inside those small components
Rest a hundred loving friends.

Some its true I've never seen
And most I've never met
We've never shaken hands or
Ever truly hugged, and yet..

I know for sure they love me
By the kindnesses they give
And this little scrap of metal
Is how I get to where they live

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as I know you.
I share in life it brings them
So if its OK with you..

Just take an extra minute
From your duties up above..
To bless this little hunk of steel
That's filled with so much love.

You are right about the Mike Meyers thing...playing as an older Jewish lady with her own talk show.....I just never thought that I would hear a reference to that skit....but, Boy, did it ever hit home as it described exactly how I felt.....

Quality find!!! So darn true... for alot of people in this world.

I have been thinking about my idea of "The Church of Internet Forums".....you know the place where you go to pray(that it will be back up soon) for your favorite board and computer to work....when it has gone down for one reason or another and you had been posting to a really interesting thread....That was a long day for me!
This board alone(Carnival) could produce at least 10 new members to the church due to some of the "ever present" people such as myself and....
Oh...most importantly we would have to get MS QUEEN to find alot more of those prayers for the "official bible" ..... Wow, that sounds like alot of work...hmmmmm

OK! OK! The idea was not thought through enough....But if you really think about it....we do have a seperate "Church" already(other than the one that you go to on Sunday)...it is (The Church of)CruiseCritic.com....it has many members and a quality leader in Laura Sterling....I know that I spend more time here(being presently unemployed but lucky enough to have plenty saved up) than I do at my church on a weekly basis....

All in all...I have to give "mad props"( a huge thank you ) to MS QUEEN for finding/posting that "prayer" and making my mind do what it loves to do...THINK!

Yea, my daughter (12 yrs. old) brought that one home to me the other day when she was describing an incident that happened at her school...."My teacher gave me mad props in front of the class cause she saw me in the hall helping a SPED kid get back to his group...guess he ran away and got lost."....that was what she said, word for word, after I asked how school went.

You can only imagine the look on my face thinking...."mad props"..."SPED"?(as in, "The car sped down the road"...I capitalized it because I now know the definition)...I think it was the word "mad" that really got me confused the most. So, I showed my age (ignorance of the "hip" terms) and asked her..."HUH?"(with a stern look because I had just heard "teacher", "mad", a decription of her doing something to promote it all in the same sentence)...She smiled, tilted her head to the side and said, "Daaaad...She was proud of me and wanted to say thank you for being such a good kid and helping out the Special Education Student and she is going to nominate me for the National Citizenship Award. She said it in front of the class to use me as an example for the other kids....is that better?"
So, I looked at her and said, "Uhhhh Yeeah." with the same tone that she was using and trying my hardest to sound like she did.
I should start having her write out definitions for me...then I can try and get my youth back by using them in my posts and being rude to those "un-hip" people who ask what the term means....LOL.....I just couldn't do it...not in my nature....

Well I haven't been writing down all of my ideas...so I guess that I am not a writer....Teaching will require a couple more years of school...hmmm...How about being a TA?...focusing on CruiseCritic members and what they want....then I wouldn't get to be here as much...and probably not make much money due to all the price drops that we seem to find....

Well, I actually use Yahoo. No, I am not a researcher. I work as an engineer at a public TV-Radio station.

I started linking because cruisecriters were asking questions that involved a simple (for me) search. I started linking thinking; am I doing a service, am I making a fool of myself, will others follow my lead and be able to link for themselves. I plan on keeping this up until I get kicked off (inappriate post). Bad spelling or until I get board or it is no longer fun
