They do exist, but are scarce. The couples I've seen at a table-for-two are kinda stuck in an obscure place pretty near the kitchen door. Maybe your Maitre d' will find you a more suitable table in a nice cozy corner. Talk with him when you get on the ship.

We had a table for two on our Dec.2003 Legend cruise. Cotton is right, our table was wedged by the kitchen exit. We asked for a large table. Go figure! It wasn't a problem changing after the first night.

Have a wonderful honeymoon!

It depends on the ship. On our cruise last month on the Legend, we had requested a large table and wound up at a fantastic table for 2 on the upper level. I was surprized to see so many tables for 2 on the ship.

In April of 2000, we got lucky on the Triumph after we asked for a table for two and were moved to a booth for four and were the only two assigned to it. The designated tables for two that I saw were in the aisle between the booths on the second floor. I would have hated that as much as sitting with other people for my romantic dinners.

They had tables for two on upper deckof the rear dining room on the conquest. They were in the middle of the entrances to get to the rear so you pretty much had folks walking on bothsides of you during dinner. Didn't notice any others ones anywhere else there but sure if ya ask they will set you up goodluck and have a wonderful Cruise and Congrats On Marriage and have a wonderful Honeymoon!!

We were on the Pride for our honeymoon. When we got on board, we went to the Maitre 'd and asked for a table for two, she said no problem as long as we were willing to stay assigned to late seating which was in less demand on this cruise. No problem for us. They even showed us the table before we committed to it so we knew we liked it.

It was on the second floor, looking down on the entire first floor...great view for people watching...we loved it.

The aisle was right there, people would walk by, but we loved the fact that we were right overlooking the 1st floor. There were booths for four just on the other side of the aisle and we became friendly with them, so we had the best of both worlds, private table, but could socialize a bit.

Just go to the Maitre'd when you show up and ask if any two tops are available and if you could see it before comitting. Have a great honeymoon, we did!

http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif Great news! We requested a table for 2 at the late seating (our 5th anniversary) http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. My dh used to be in the restaurant business, so I know we won't be sitting by the kitchen or on a busy aisle - lol! I understand there are even more two-tops on the Miracle.

Guess we'll be scouting out the maitre'd as soon as we board.

hookedforlife - Congratulations and many happy years together!

When we were on our honeymoon, Carnival had went to the trouble to at least place us at a table with other honeymooners (8 total). So that was sort of fun. I think this one couple must have "waited", because they were never at the table ;-) ha!

You will still have plenty of alone time, never fear!
