Anyone been on the Celebration since the last drydock and refit. Hows the interior and staterooms. Was sailing on a smaller ship worth the money in your opinion.
Sailing on her in January.

I cruised on the Jubilee in 1988 which was about 1 years after it was built. Same size as the Celebration. I mainly remember it being nice. I will be back on one this size in about 7 weeks. Should be fun

I have been to Xcaret will doing a land vacation in Playa del Carmen. Xcaret was one of the best tourist attractions I have ever seen and I have traveled extensively. My daughter did a 2 or 3 hour thing with the dolphins (I think it was about $125-$150) she said she would have paid double (she can't wait to do this again). The place was absolutely beautiful. I can't remember what the cost was; but, whatever it is it will be worth it.
I have never been on a cruise that I didn't have a great time.

Thanks Golflady,
We are going to do the dolphins also. Glad to hear it was worth it.

We sailed the Celebration last July, right after it's refurb. It was our first cruise and we loved it! We didn;t have anything to compare it to then, so I will be interested to see the difference in the Celebration and the Elation, which we will be sailing in June. We loved the food, the shows, the staff were great. We also loved Playa del Carmen. We didn't do an excursion there, we just went to a BEAUTIFUL beach, one of the prettiest I have ever been to, including Hawaii. In Cozumel we did the Playa Sol Beach Break which was fun, however, we paid 25.00 per person which didn't include transportation and we found out that we cold have gotten it much cheaper had we just done it on our own. This time we are trying Paradise Beach when in Cozumel. I am confident that you will have a wonderful time on the Celebration! Hey it's a cruise, how could you not have fun?

Well, if I have done this right, you'll find a link to my review of our cruise in March on the Celebration.

Bottom line is we had a great time, found the ship to be very nice, clean, and with exemplory staff. Would jump on this ship again in an instant!! Sorry that she is leaving Galveston in the future, but I guess it'll give us a different ship to try (the Ectasy will be replacing her) http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (Our CC buddy here~Gina~ will be cruising the Ectasy, so she'll let us know how the ship does at replacing our wonderful Celebration!).

We are sailing for our first cruise on her july 26, and we are so excited. I have been worried because some of the reviews I have read haven't been so nice, but it sounds like we will have a blast. We can't wait to go, thanks for all the helpful info!

I cruised the Celebration last September on a 3 day cruise to nowhere after she had engine trouble. I enjoyed the cruise. It was much better than I had anticipated after all the previous problems I had read about in the past. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin. There were 2 small children left unattended in the cabin next to mine (the parents were in the cabin next to the kids). I was awakened at a very early hour on Saturday morning to the sounds of cartoons and kids squealing and laughing for a couple of hours. So bring ear plugs and/or your favorite background music or sounds, and have a great cruise.

We sure hope to find some CC members on our cruise, as the Galveston port is becoming quite popular...have a great cruise! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
