Last year my family and I (4 total) were on the Inspiration for spring break. We dined with another family of four, and hit it off with them very well. We're from southeastern VA and they're from Buffalo, NY. Last week my older daughter went on a spring trip with her chorus group from high school to Orlando, Fl. While at SeaWorld she winds up running into the family we ate with while on the cruise last year.

I'm sure others have similar stories. Love to hear (read) them.

WOW!! What are the odds of that? I'm sure there are more stories of such happenings.

Last year before our cruise I was looking at some web pics by people who had been on the Triumph. This particular person posted the dining room pics taken by formal night and her tablemate was someone I had been engaged to many years ago and I haven't seen since. Small world! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I had checked out one of those websites that show who else might be cruising on your ship. Only saw one name, and sent him an email with no specifics, he sends back "maybe we'll see you".....also no specifics, except their names.

First night at dinner, we're at a table of ten, and only 4 of us show up. We're exchanging pleasantries, and the subject switches to computers, and that he is on one all the time. Light bulb on, but, nah....what are the chances. So he uses a computer.....

Maybe 5 minutes pass, and we get to finally exchanging our first names...of which his matches the name from the post. I immediately blurt out his last name, as a question, and he is like "HUH"?

YUP! Turns out it was not only them, but they were also in the next cabin from us. This was on the Triumph...and how many people does that hold?

FREAKY!!!

I think I have you all beat.
Last November on our Destiny cruise our tablemates were friends of my nephew's. I knew he looked familiar but could not place him. He was not only at my nephew's wedding, but his father was the DJ at my parent's 50th anniversary and he was at that party as well!!!
