Hi, we are travelling on Disney Magic Jan 27th 2007. I have 2 questions....
My husband & I are travelling with our 4 yr old son and 14 yr old nephew. From what I read I'm sure my 4 yr old will have a blast. Will there be enough interesting activities for my 14 yr almost 15 yr old nephew to do....
Also, when I booked my category 6 outside with verandah, they gave me a guarantee room. They could not assign me a room. What exactly does this mean...

The four year old will have a great time, no question about it. Any 14 year is problematic for anything that they do, but they have a real chance at a good time on DCL. There are plenty of activities, labs, and segregation away from the little kids. You can also load up a pre paid card with cash to spend in the arcade.

Being 14 he will get to go and hang out at The Stack for teens ONLY!!!
The teens we have taken 3 times have said it was AWESOME!!!!
Be sure he goes the first daya s they have ice breaker events to get the kids aquainted. They have karoake, pizza parties, movies, dances, contests, arcade stuff, computer things to do, lots of socializing time together. Scavener hunt, brains against brawn competition, a teen only excursion on castaway Cay which you must sign up for like other excursions, they have their own teen beach to hang out at on CC too.
There is swimming, basketball, shuffleboard, ping pong competition too.
And dont forget Studio Sea for family events, some things in there are geared for all ages, including teens!!!
The stack opened at noon about when the kids were getting up since they stay up til 2 or 2:30 a.m. when the club closes.
The Stack isnt decorated in Mickey mouse either, it is totaly geared for teens. I'm sure he will have a blast. Our teens didnt reveal everything they did, just what I listed above, they said we wouldnt be that interested in teen stuff . Ha! Ha! Too old to understand!!! Ha! Ha!
We have done the guaranteed room before, it just means they will guarantee you will get a category 6 that you booked or better!! We have got an upgrade at no extra charge before with a guaranteed room. But you will be guaranteed to be at least the 6 you booked so dont worry. They will assign you a room before the cruise. This can be a great advantage because sometimes you get a free upgrade!!!
