Nine of us are sailing in early December, my two toddlers will be 2.5 and 4. Both are potty trained. That brings up another question, I've read also that the child as to be able to do the entire 'task' themselves.....do 3 yo's really effectively wipe without help???? Just curious.

I know that the kids have to be 3 to go to Oceaneer Club and stay w/o us, but I've read that you can take the younger kids and they can play and participate in activitiesas long as a parent (or perhaps grandparent) stays? Is this true? My DD will not be interested in hanging in the nursery while big brother goes to the club. We are on a 3 day cruise, does any one know where I can get a schedule of their activities for the 3 day Wonder Cruise? If we can take them both we'll just look for the events we think they'll enjoy the most, if time permits.

While on board we will also be busy in the pool and going to the shows. At least DD will be able to go in to the same pools with the rest of us. Does anyone know if the Mickey slide is an age issue or size issue? I've seen where no one over 64" can go, but is there a minimum height?

Well, I guess this id it for now....

Hi,
I know there is a restriction for safety on the slide but cant remember what it was, but I'm sure your 4 year old will be ok to do it because our 4 year old grandaughter did it with no problems.

It is up to the counselors on each cruise whether or not you will be allowed to take your youngest child in the club with an adult. It depends really on how crowded the clubs are. The less crowded the better your chances are.
Since you have a 4 year old they are more likely to let you in, just tell them your oldest child is shy and you want to stay with him awhile and have the other child with you. You sign in as a guest and they give you a name tag to wear. You are welcome to stay as long as you want.
It shouldnt be a problem, but if you just talk with them they really do try to help out.
Sometimes if there are too many kids they will tell you what time the kids will be in another area of the ship and you can bring in your youngest child to play for awhile, while they are gone.
I dont remember the exact site for Navigator papers but you can google disney cruises and one of the sites will have the event papers for many cruise lines, just click on DCL and go from there. If you can find them let me know and I will try to find th eexact site again, but remember the events change often, so something may be different when you cruise.

I almost addressed this to you! :D I knew you'd know, you are a great source for traveling Disney with kids (or without for that matter). Thanks so much for the quick reply.

We are traveling during what is traditionally a slower time, so we should be good there. Also, I don't really know if it will be much of an issue since it is only a 3 day, and I remember from my previous 3-Days, with the two ports you really don't have that much time on board. Both kids will enjoy the pool and the shows, plus we have 2 sets of grandparents and an older child....it's going to be a great family vacation. Probably the only one we'll ever have quite like it, so I plan on us all being together most of the time!

I'm just glad that DD decided she was done with diapers (pleasant surprise for me, she just turned two in June), that way she won't have to stay in Mickey's ear while the DS gets to go else where. Is the other ear a shallow pool? They'll probably still like the splash part of the Mickey ear even though they don't have to necessarily stay there. The other bonus is I don't have to pack all those diapers! YEAH. I'll just toss in a a few pullups for over night and long travel legs just in case. DD actually will wake up in the middle of the night and make you get up to take her potty. DS will still just go sometimes overnight, very rarely though. I guess that's another difference between boys and girls. It's just really nice not to have the expense after of nearly 4 years of diapers! :D

The Mickey ear is only about 10 inches deep and th eother ear is just water jets which is reserved forkids in swim diapers, although you little one could use it with no problem because she is so young.
You are so lucky she threw away the diapers on her own!!!

The little deck around the Mickey pool is only 2 or 3 inches deep too.

It sounds like you have an awesome trip planned, I'm sure it will be a magical one. We just got bck on the 12th from a 7 day Eastern so i am just now catching up with the cruise board, so many new posts to read!!!

Please ask if I can help with any other questions,

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

I'm also having a pre-Disney party and plan to print out some of these for everyone to look at. DH's parents have never been on a a cruise or to WDW, (or any major vacation of this sort), so this should be quite a trip for them. DH and Kids have never been to WDW or DCL, so new for them too. I've done the trip before, but with no kids....and I never paid attention to the kids things at the time. :o
