Carnival Legend Cabin question

Hi,
We are on the 11/11/2004 sailing and want to know if anyone has had cabin #8146 with the extended balcony? Or near it? Do you hear noise from the pool? If so, how bad?

We had cabin #8267 that was right below the rear Lido deck area, including the pool. Every once in a while, we would hear the staff power-washing the decks above, but the noise was insignificant. Certainly nothing to worry about.

We had 8185 on the Legend. Loved it. I could hear chairs move above me at certain times of day, but it was never an issue, and both my husband and myself are very sensitive to sound. You really shouldn't have a problem.

we had room 8248. you could hear chairs moving some parts of the day, but it never bothered us. we loved where the room was located, because all you had to do was go up one flight of stairs and you were right there in the unicorn cafe. that was great! have a good time we were on her in March and i'm still going through withdrawls.

Also sailing on the Legend and have an extended balcony. I'm having kind of a hard time finding actual pictures of an extended balcony. I'd like to get an idea of the size of it. Wonder if I can sunbathe out there?

Also, I sent for a video of the ship and was sent one of the Spirit which is supposed to be about the same as the Legend. I noticed on the video that there are little "privacy extenders" that go from the top of the balcony rail on up. Guess that is so no one can pop their hear around and check out the action on the other balconys?

If your cabin is on deck 8, there is an extension from the Lido deck that protrudes out from the ship. It would be very unlikely that you could sunbathe out there. The other thing I noticed is that even if you're in the sunshine, the clear glass partition may prevent any tanning.

As for the size of the extended deck, it's not quite twice as wide as the standard balcony and the same length.

Emme- If there are extenders I wish someone would have told me! We could hear everything (and I mean EV-ER-Y thing) our neighbors said or did. Of course, they were talking in a normal tone...and doing other things in a tone that you can't control. Hi Bev

We had a great time also. But too long for 2 sisters. But our balcony was at oposite side of you. We had one that stuck out a little further. Our neibhbors were quiet. Would never get a room without a balcony again. Have you planned your next cruise yet. My DH and I are going in Oct on Caribbean Princess with son and daughter in law. Can't wait. Sorry I did not meet you on Legend. Met a few people we chatted with. We were easy to spot esp. when Carol was in wheel chair. We were seated at lunch with one other family who as soon as I said something about Carol she knew who we were. Did you meet any of the people we chatted with. Bye Debbie
