I have cabin 7067 and it is right by the elevator. Can anyone tell me how noisy that may be. Also doing the Glacier Bay, does it matter what side of the ship you are on if you just wanted to sit on your balcony to view the glaciers. Thank You

I just sailed a few weeks ago and was just a few doors down from the elevators. While I was farther down from the elevators than you will be, I did not hear any elevator noise while in my stateroom, just outside my stateroom in the corridor, etc. I doubt that you will have any problems. Enjoy the Westie and Alaska. They are a wonderful match.

We spent much more time viewing glaciers on the port side. They were not equal at all, especially for the Marjorie(sp) Glacier. I would go out on deck for a lot of the time to see the whole view. We viewed the last glacier from our covered deck, port side becuase it was very rainy and cold. This was the first week of August. Don't forget to look for the time they serve the pea soup, it is only served for about a half hour but is delicious.
