My wife , my daughter and myself are cruising the Victory from New York , disembarking on 24 June. We need 2 rooms in a nice, not too expensive hotel in a central location, for 2 nights before we return to the UK Can anyone recommend any hotels or a website that we can book some rooms with.
Thanks

Try the Ports of call board for NYC. You may have some luck there.

Scottie99, My husband and I will be on the Victory with you. He was born in Glasgow and has been here 33 years. Our son lives in New York just a few blocks from the pier. We live in Buffalo and probably will fly in the day before. Hope to hear from you. Sandy

Scottie,

We sailed out of NY last November and we stayed at the Travel Inn on West 42nd St in Manhattan. It is very close to the cruise terminal and only a few blocks from Times Square. It was relatively inexpensive compared to most hotels in the same area. Check it out at www.hotels.ca (http://www.hotels.ca). I would highly recommend taking the double decker tour bus of downtown Manhattan while you are there. We live in Saint John, Canada which is one of your ports of call on the Victory. Please let me know if you need any information for your visit here.

Add us to the list for this cruise, we'll be driving up from Baltimore the morning of the 19th and driving home the 24th, so I cannot help much. We are parking and taking the Weehawken Ferry in NJ, and I know there is a Sheraton right next door that's about $160 the night before the cruise-we just decided to save that $160 for the cruise!

I mostly wanted to say..'Hi, we're going, too" http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Anyone know if there is a roll call for this cruise? I didn't see one (or start one).

We're on this one too - also from the Baltimore area! I booked 2 nights at the Marriott Marquis (sp) for after the cruise. I went through PriceLine, bid a 4* hotel in Midtown West and got the room for $115. When I check it on their own website, they want $259 for each of the nights. It's worth a try. For $115 a night in NYC, you'll get a dump so PriceLine is definitely the way to go. I got bidding info at Bidding for Travel (http://pub210.ezboard.com/fpricelineandexpediabiddingnewyorkcitynonewjersey) . Only 49 days to go, but who's counting?!
