Are taxi's in abundance at the airport ready to wisk us off to the seaport? What type of cost are we looking at?

Pre-cruise stay for one night...hotel recommendations? prices? easy of getting to port?

Isn't this board the greatest! Never a question goes unanswered!

Great question! We, too, were wondering what the cab fare is to the port from LAX. We're planning to cruise aboard the Pride on Oct 10th, flying in the day before. I will keep an eye for replies to your questions!

I understand the cab fare is about 40-50 dollars to Long Beach. They also have shuttles to Long Beach, try the Los Angeles airport web site for more info on transportation. We're staying in San Pedro at the World Cruise Center, about 5 miles from the Long Beach Terminal.

Joe and Dianna, not sure about cab fare, but Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle both provide transportation for $30 -32 each way for 2 people. We're staying at the Queen Mary pre-cruise for $109 per night, and I've heard a lot of folks talk about the Coast Hotel, which is right up the road a littleways from the pier.

We are staying at the Coast Hotel the night before our cruise. Their website shows a very nice hotel with wonderful views. We plan on using Prime Time Shuttle for our transportation to and from LAX.
