Hi i was wondering if anyone can suggest any hotels in Port Canaveral or near by the port. And if any of the hotels offer parking cars at hotel included in stay for the week of the cruise. I thought I had seen that mention on here but couldn't find the thread it was in. Thanks ahead for helping me out on this ..its greatly appreciated!!!!!

Try the Radisson. A few weeks ago we paid $119 for four people, including parking for the week, a shuttle to and from the cruise terminal and a wonderful buffet breakfast for two. Great hotel, with beautiful pool and tiki bar.

Another option is the new Ron Jon Resort -- Cape Caribe. I believe I recently read (on this message board) that they now have a shuttle to the port, but I can't remember if there was a fee. We haven't stayed there yet, but went over one weekend to check it out and took some pictures.

We only live about 45 minutes from the port, but I would LOVE to spend a weekend at Cape Caribe. Here's their website:

Vee, the beach area is a REAL beach. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Here's a webcam not too too far from the resort:
http://www.twopalms.com/
Now, the thing is we really couldn't SEE the beach from Cape Caribe. At least not from any of the places we were. I did see the walkway that leads from the resort towards the beach, but we didn't go down it since we have been to that beach many times. (We actually went over to watch the cruise ships sail out of port that day and went early to look at Cape Caribe.) Maybe if your room is high enough up (and facing the right direction), you can see the ocean, but I don't know.
It is definitely not within walking distance to the port. If you are familiar with the area, the entrance to the resort is just before the Jetty Park entrance. Port Canaveral is actually pretty big, and there is an out-of-commission cruise ship (Ocean Cruise Lines' Mirage, I believe) docked very close to the entrance to Cape Caribe. You can probably see the other cruise ships in the distance from the entrance to Cape Caribe, and maybe from some of the higher rooms.

hello, just returned from canaveral yesterday. we stayed at the best western oceanfront. if u call the 800# ask for the managers special, u can get a btter rate. ours was 89 for sat and 79 for sun. the lobby is on A1A the pool is between 2 bw buildings. nice pool/bar. it was fine, but not much around. the pier was a 5 minute walk. restaurants and bars a few junk shops. closes at 11 pm. took cab to rustys at the port to watch the boats come and go. if u go to cocoabeach.com, u can find alot of hotels. bw lets u leave your car for free, so does comfort suites. some even offer shuttles to the ship. there is a hotel called the fawltey towers right by ron jon. and winn-dixe, walgreens, subway, beach wear shops, and is a block walk to the beach. we took a cab from ron jon back to bw for 3.40.
