When I was on the Grand Princess last year you could buy a bottle of "Crown Royal" for about $25 in the bar on the ship. This bottle lasted us the week and our cabin steward enjoyed the remainder when we left. It was a very inexpensive way to have a drink combined with our soda card and a small flask. Does Carnival sell bottles as well? Does anyone know there prices?

Can you buy it? YES
Can you drink it? NO
Any alcohol you purchase in port or in the ships stores is held for you until the last night of the cruise. Sorry....

Many on our Victory cruise placed liquor in an unbreakable container and put it in their checked luggage.

How do you smuggle it on the ship from the different ports? I've heard that it can be done but how?

You are not hearing this from me -LOL
After you pick up your bags off of the xray machine belt you are supposed to go to the table where you turn in your liquor for the remainder of the cruise, well there have been a few occasions where I forgot (???) to stop and turn in what I had bought in port, upon getting to the room I suddenly realized my mistake and then came the question to go back and turn it in or keep it in the room - where of course it mysteriously opened itself. One note of advice do not have it packaged in the square boxes making it very obvious as to what you are carrying.

I didn't tell you this either.. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
I could have walked right past the 'give me your alcohol' table last Thursday, and taken it to my cabin!
I'm guessing it depends on the situation.. we were boarding with a lot of people, so that may be your chance!
I swear, I didn't tell you this! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thank you everyone! I guess I will have to do some "forgetting" as well. I just read another post where someone used an empty Lipton Ice Tea liter container and replaced it with Crown.
