I am a Mariner looking at Noordam for October cruise and see the 14 OCT

sailing "available" for every category except the Penthouse on Hal Website.

When I look further,it looks like only guarantees but no specific cabins.

Why is this? Thanks

Hi houscottio,
I also look at the the online site about this cruise since we are booked on it in October. I also wonder if the site is updated as often as it should.

Also it is the first Caribbean Cruise back from her assignment in Europe for the whole summer. So many of us think that people maybe booking with a good deal being offered for the trip at a particular time close to the sailing. Also we thought it was also a very careful time to book since hurricanes are around at that time.

I must admit at one time there I did see 3 to 4 cat's that were closed but re-opened again before the time final payments were due. It was before the summer started I remember.

What can I say, I don't think it is an empty ship. Below I have attached the Roll Call thread address with quite a number of people - CC's that are cruising that trip. Yes, the ship is not going to be empty of CC's. A Meet & Greet is also be organizied as you will see.

Hope you can come to a decision with your choice.

Funny, we are on the Volendam for a 10/14 cruise and I have been watching for severa months. The only Cat sold our is the one I wanted (deluxe veranda suites) :( I did notice that the lowest inside just went back from $ 649 to $799, so I would bet the insides are filling

Hi houscottio,

Just checked on the availability site of HAL about the cruise on the 14th of October we were talking about and found something interesting.

As you said "All are open except for one cat. the suites that are closed".

Interesting that all the Cat's are open but if you look at the lower area with Dining Preference, you will see that 3 out of the 4 Dining Time are WAITLISTED. Meaning that there are passengers booked for all those cat's thru out the ship with dining preferences received.

The only maybe there is, HAL even with only one cabin open in a Cat will leave the Available status posted.

With 3/4 of the Dining Room seatings taken, you will not be alone onboard. True, how many of which rooms are available is the question.
