taxis in Civitavecchia

Trying to figure out transportation to FCO in Rome from the port. In ports we've used in the past there are cabs waiting even in the wee hours of the morning. (We'll probably be heading out around 6am) Is such the case in Civitavecchia?

Would also like to know how long the trip is by car. We've always done it on our own by train but because of the early flight we don't have a comfort zone of time for this one.

Hello Mrs. Jones,

I cannot help you regarding taxi's however I can provide other information.

Civitavecchia is approximately 42 miles from FCO Airport. We have booked a private driver to pick us up for a 10:50 flight and he has said that pickup from dock should be at 7:30. I am certainly leaving this to driver, they know best, conditions etc. Hope this is of some help.

I appreciate your help with the taxi query. I have emailed Stephano and will try to arrange a pick up with him. Our fllight is earlier than yours so we will be heading to FCO at the crack of dawn.

We used Bob's Limo while in Rome in May on three different occasions. We used for pickup at airport, a Rome at night tour, and a transfer to the cruise ship (Insignia). Each time they were on time, very nice, and had nice vehicles. You could pay with cash or credit card. We will use them again when in this region.
