I'm looking for everyone's personal experiences with cruise weather. In other words, when would everyone consider to the best/worst times to cruise? Is there any particular month(s)to expect rough seas?

My wife and I will be on our very first cruise in Oct '04 on the Glory-Western, and we are curious as to others experiences as they relate to our current cruise plans, and future plans.

Thanks!!!!

I usually cruise in September, and have had only one rain day in the past three cruises. You just take your chances with weather any month. I've never encountered rough seas at all.

I;ve had good weather both Spring and Fall - but that's not why I'm responding - I LOVE your username; you have to be an ACC fan to appreciate it. I went to NC State; DH went To Duke, and we're both Heel haters!

Yes, ditto on the name. I lived in Raleigh, NC for five years, and I wasn't the biggest UNC fan, either.

Very clever.

Die-Hard Dukie here, thru and thru!!!! Thanks for the nice comments. I actually lived in Hillsborough, NC for a large part of my youth, which is in the same county as Chapel Hill and the Holes, so I have a deep disliking for them. I now live in Harrisburg, just outside of Charlotte, but I still can't stand the Holes!!!! ;-)

Also want to thank the others for there information, and appreciate any more weather experiences anyone has had.

Thanks

While we are at it--anyone cruise in December? I have cruised in October and November. Both times we had very good weather. Our only exception in Honduras--we had rain, but expected to be wet with the snorkel/kayak excursion. Best port experience so far!
