10 day cruise $2300 difference. Is the penthouse suite worth the upgrade?

It's very difficult to answer such a question without knowing your preferences, wishes and needs. Suffice to say - you get what you pay for...
A Penthouse has more room, a bigger bathroom and tub, more room on the balcony and other benefits. A balcony room is obviously smaller, more compact and a smaller balcony, but still quite comfortable for most folks.
Does it warrant the difference in price? That's a question you have to answer for yourself, taking all the above into account. Sorry to be of so little help, but your question was far too general....

I was in a veranda stateroom last summer for the 12 day Istanbul to Athens. It was very comfortable and probably would have been more so had I been traveling with my tidy husband instead of my not so tidy aunt who tended to use the loveseat as an alternate closet. When we booked our upcoming Panama Canal transit we decided that, with the additional 4 days and the large number of at sea days we would probably be spending more time in our cabin than we would on a shorter very port intensive itinerary so we opted for a penthouse suite. I also felt that my husband would be more comfortable with the larger shower, though I know he wouldn't have complained about the smaller shower in the veranda cabin. Maybe grumbled a bit and remarked on it every single time he finished showering, but not outright complain . . . And the fridge is a nice bonus as I can stock up on Diet Coke and not have to fork over $2.36 every time I want to enjoy one in my cabin.

Keep in mind that a fridge is provided in a "concierge level" balcony cabin as well as a penthouse. We love Oceania and I seldom complain about anything, but the lack of a fridge on any cabin below concierge class never ceases to amaze me, in light of the inclusion of a fridge on just about every other cruise line we've sailed on, regardless of cabin class.

I believe the OP was asking about the PH Suite, not the Vista suite.
To the OP: I think you have to decide if $230 per day is worth it for a bigger cabin and butler service. Some people think it is, others don't.
