Hi Everyone,

I just got back on Sunday and Phil Lafayette is a sure thing in Jamaica.

My dw and I booked the Dunns River Falls and White River Tubing Tour with Phil and it ended up that 6 other people who where at our Meet and Mingle Party were also on the tour.

When we walked off of the pier in the morning we simply told a worker who was in uniform that we were looking for Phil Lafayette and she took very good care of us and walked us to his van. It seems that everyone in Jamaica knows Phil.

There were about 16 people total on the tour but only 6 of us did the tubing the others stayed on the van and Phil took them shopping and they were waiting for us at the point that we left the river after the tubing.

Phil was a joy to be with giving us a continual narrative of the history of his country and also pointing out various plants and spices along the way and inviting us to smell the fresh spice leaves that he pulled off of the trees. He even pulled up to a roadside produce stand and bought a fresh mango that he cut and gave everyone a sample of. He even sang several songs to us.

He was very diplomatic and let us choose where we wanted to eat and we all choose a roadside shack (it was very clean) to have a combination plate of Jerk Chicken, Pork and Ribs. Each couple shared a plate which was more than enough with a piece of fried dough and I had a beer, my wife had a coke and the total bill was $19.00. It was excellent.

Phil charges $55.00 for the combined tour but by the time you pay $15.00 for your ticket at the falls and $20.00 to the tubing people there is only $20.00 paid to Phil at the end of the tour.

I will not be able to check back with the site to often because this is my first day back and work and the elves did not show up to do my work for me while I was gone.

I will do my best to check back periodically to answer questions.

BTW, the ship was the Rhapsody cabin 7652 Corner Aft Balcony and yes it is worn in places but very comfortable and the best cruise of the 8 that my wife and I have been on .

Phil's web page says that the tour is 4 hour but he kept us out for at least 5 hours and got us back in plenty of time to go into the island village before boarding the ship.

I highly recommend Phil and the Rhapsody.
