Who would be Interested in a Las Vegas CC HAL Board Get Together Weekend in October?

In our recent thread of the last CC HAL Board Las Vegas group Get Together there was some mention of having a weekend Get Together. With a few emails with Laura (ekerr19) her and Sonny would like to come to Las Vegas over Columbus Day weekend October 7th, 8th and 9th. I think that all the Las Vegas group should be in town, although I think BillS will just be getting back from his Noordam cruise.

Is there anyone else interested in coming to Las Vegas that weekend? We could make it a big "Land Cruise":D

The Arizona and California people would not have that far to come (hint hint to Copper):)

Lisa: of course we would like to have another CC get together especially if we have "visitors"!!! :) But our Noordam cruise will still be underway on that weekend. :( The next two weekends in October are also already filled for us, too. :( :(

So, please DO schedule it when it is conventient for the ou-of-town CCers and just take a lot of pictures and take notes if we cannot be there. :cool:

We'd love to come, so we could get out of the desert and cool off ;), but may need to wait for a later one, as will be freshly back from the German rivers.

DH has already informed me that we need a visit to Hilo Hattie's to get the wardrobe for our 12/07 Hawaii cruise, and you have the second closest one. Otherwise, we'll be stuck with stopping in San Diego on the way to the dock.

We go November 16th on the Zaandam, just 11 weeks from today:D Just 77 days from right this moment we will already be at the San Deigo Cruise ship terminal getting ready to check in and board:cool: But who's counting:)

We have a reason (business) now that I've just found out about, so we can move it "easily" to November.... any weekend before you go would be perfect! :) Let me know!

November up till the 16th will work for us. I think BillS will be back home then but then DoxieMom will be gone the first part of October then be gone in November. But we may be able to get a few more that can come in early November.
Warning though if we choose Veterans Day weekend, hotels will be a bit more expensive as well as could be booked up already.

Veteran's Day works for us! There will be a parade downtown that day as well--my office is on the parade route-glad it is a Saturday this year as I can watch the entire parade without missing any work. It pains me that our firm has to be open on Veteran's Day if it falls during the work week, so this year it will be real treat! C'mon down!

If it helps our So. Cal CC crew, the local news up here has been advising that beginning the end of this month, CALTRANS, will be doing upgrades to I-15 at the Cajon Pass each weekend through the end of October and it is recommended that people who would normally transit the pass during that time, find an alternate route. CALTRANS is warning of major traffic delays on the weekends. :(

Good Question Dave :) I am have not heard from everyone here in Vegas but I know that the October one was going to be hard since several would be gone. I think we may have everyone here for November 11th weekend.

Hi Frank, I would normally suggest a CC HAL Get Together but I will not be available. Starting next week we are having ahuge sale at work and I will be working double the hours and it is just before we leave for our cruise. So unfortunately I cannot be the organizer of it. I can suggest a few very good Buffets. My favorites in this order are, 1. Wynn Las Vegas, 2.Bellagio, 3. Mandalay Bay Resort. Both Wynn and Bellagio are a bit more pricey and you will wait in line unless you go at an odd time. The quality and selection of the food is outstanding. Mandalay Bay is kind of a well kept secret. It is a few dollars less and there never is a crowd. The food selection may not be as bit as the other two but the quality is extremely good.

For restaurants and staying on the strip one of my favorites is Sea Blue in the MGM which is an excellent but expensive Sea Food restaurant. Then an old time favorite which is still good but you must ignore the surroundings getting to it is The Steak House in Circus Circus. Sadly Circus Circus has gone down hill over the years and as you walk thru the casino to find the fine dining establsihment you wonder "What am I going to find?" Once you walk in the door you find a very elegant steak house with great food and not out outragious prices.
