ken

i have checked them out for alaska tours. i found them to be more expensive than some of the other tour co's i have looked into. of course i have no idea how many there are too choose from in the ports where you are going. im sure they are a great group and would give you a good tour though. have a great time.

I found most of not all of their Caribbean tours to be much more expensive than what I found through the Ports of Call board here on CC. Most of the tour operators I booked with came highly recommended and their prices were a fraction of what I saw on the shoretrips website.

I was thinking of using them in Key West for a 2 hour jet ski tour. I didn't see anything like that offered through Carnival.

Looking for feedback too!

I booked the Royal Dolphin Swim in Cozumel through shoretrips.com for my upcoming cruise. Transaction was prompt. We'll see how it goes in Cozumel. Carnival's Royal Swim was 170 bucks compared to 119 for Shoretrips.

I've used them quite a few times and found them quite reliable. I first heard about them on these boards. They use local operators but take all the work out of it. Good luck!!

I used Shoretrips for almost every port call when I sailed on the NCL Sky 2/7/04 cruise. Every single one was great, less expensive than the ship tours and much more personal. Many included just myself and my travel companion. Every single one went perfectly - we were met at the end of the pier w/ guides with signs with my name on them. Every tour we took included a complimentary beverage, which I thought was a nice touch. I can't recommend them enough! I am going on the Voyager of the Seas 11/27/04 and will book all our shore excursions through them.

I have not used them, but for St. Thomas I booked a tour guide company named Godfreytours.com (i think thats how its spelled) from home. Our family of 5 paid $25 each for 2 hour shopping trip, 2 hour island tour, 2 hour beach drop off. He picked us up at the ship and brought us back. Very nice safari type jeep, great guy.
St. Martin, we wanted to just do the beach and shopping thing. Got off the ship, walked past all the cabs, hung a left and walked maybe 2 blocks until we reached shopping area. Cut through to beach. One area had a water trampoline type thingy for the kids. I think it was $3 a braclett. My husband and I rented chairs and unbrella and drank beer. Did a little shopping before we headed back, just touristy things, nice beach towels for $3. That was my kids favorite day. And if baby is happy, we're all happy! Smile
