OK, as I understand it from reading the posts here, food delivered to your room is free, but if you get a beverage (soda, water, milk or juice), there is a charge. And you also are expected to tip the server - correct? (The last couple cruises I've been on, we were NOT supposed to tip). Can you put the tip on your room card? Or should I just bring cash for this?

Will they deliver to your room if you are not there? Sometimes it is nice to order snacks to be delivered to your room when you plan to be back soon.

Being as I can't stand to pay for drinks when they are offered for free, I'll probably use the drink station. Is it allowed to bring a large container (32 - 64 oz), and fill it to take to the room? Is the in-room fridge sufficient to keep milk and juice cold? Our kids do not drink soda, just milk and juice.

Is the in-room fridge already stocked with anything?

The easiest thing is to just bring lots of $1 bills for tipping. I don't remember about the drinks. We only used room service a few times and yes the food was free. The fridge was empty when we got there and we just put bottled water in it. Wasn't the coldest though. We used the drink station whenever we needed other drinks.

Not all beverages are charged with room service. I believe you can get milk coffee and tea for free. I am not sure about juice though. Some lines only include juice with breakfast so that one someone who has been on more recently needs to educate us on!

We were on Magic in May and coffee, tea, milk and juice (apple, orange, cranberry and maybe grapefruit) were available from the room service menu. Had it delivered every morning! One of my favorite things about cruising is hot coffee delivered to my cabin so I always tip.
