I read somewhere that someone did a stop here and did an excursion to Universal studios but I can't seem to find that on Carnival's shore excursions for that port. We are going on the miracle and that is one of our ports. Maybe it was another cruiseline that I read it on....does anyone know or has anyone done it thru carnival? I am looking for times and prices.
Thanks so much!!!

We'll be sailing on the Miracle from NY this summer also...
In their catalog, Carnival states that they provide transportation to the "Theme Parks" in Orlandobut I do not beleive that there are organized excursions other than the Kenendy Space Center.
Enjoy.

Herby,
It was probably me that posted about the Universal excursion. We were on the Norwegian Dawn for that stop. I have never stopped in Port Canaveral with Carnival, so I don't know what they offer. But while I was doing my research for that cruise, I found out that you can rent a car right near the pier for the day (can't remember the company, maybe Hertz?) and as long as you bring it back by a certain time, they will bring you back to the ship. It was something I was looking into that since there were 9 of us and we already had the Universal tickets through my MIL. But they really wanted to take a bus so we were able to get transfer tickets only with them. I would guess that if Carnival does offer an excursion to Universal, they may have the same option, but I don't know what they have there.
What I really wanted to do at that port was to go to Sea World. We have plenty of amusement parks up here, but nothing like Sea World. It was something I thought the kids would enjoy, although they had a blast at Universal!
Try to be on the shore side of the ship while you are pulling into port there. You can see the military doing some exercises and they waved at the kids. They thought that was great!
Have fun, I know I will be having fun on the Miracle in just 24 days!
