Anyone ever use priceline to purchase airfare for a cruise you were going on? I would think you would have to book for the day before you leave. Tell me if this is a good idea.

If you have flight schedule flexibility, then deals may be had.
I'll use Priceline or Hotwire for hotel reservations, but not for airfare.

Perhaps something else in the works as well. Watch this space.
Dance like it hurts, love like you need money, and work when somebody's watching.

It's okay as long as you book a day before the cruise and the day after. Then you need to add in hotel expense but with priceline and hotwire this isn't a big deal.

I use Priceline for airline trickets before a cruise but I don't use the "bidding" option. Priceline now lists flights from lowest price to highest and gives you all the times. These prices beat anything I found at Travelocity, Expedia and the Airlines own Web Sites. My tickets from Seattle to FLL were only $210 per person from Priceline and I picked the times I wanted.
Priceline also seems to match the best prices offered by onlne cruise booking agencies on their cruise prices.
