View Full Version : Anyone ever meet/see anyone famous?

I have heard a couple stories from co-workers that they have seen famous people while on vacation. One couple was in Hawaii and their children started building a sandcastle with other children who were at the beach. When it was time for the other children to leave, their dad came over to get them...their Dad was Eddie Murphy!
I just thought with all the people on this board especially with the ones who have visited the Atlantis's beach, someone must have been vacationing at the same time & place as some rather famous people. I know the Atlantis is a people hot spot for the rich and famous. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

The cruise lines used to bring celeb's onboard I miss that..we haven't never been to Atlantis but have seen a bunch of famous athletes while cruising and some famous comedians who have gone onto make their own shows now on television. I do remember meeting Antonio Goss..he played for the 49 er's he was nice so was his wife. Also Met the gentlemen who played the father on the Ten of Us and The guy who plays Ravens Dad on her show that Airs on Disney..which he was hillarious onboard. But thats about it I am sure you might see some at Atlantis it is a Beautiful Resort.

NCL used to be heavy into the "Theme Cruises."
Plus, in addition to whatever theme, NCL would have a different NFL player onboard every cruise.
I was lucky enough to be on a "Hall of Fame Baseball" cruise in 1985 on the old NCL Skyward. I didn't even know that it was a theme cruise until I got onboard, so it was just an added bonus. My "prize" for being conned into participating in the "Welcome Aboard" show was a baseball, which I was able to have autographed by Ernie Banks, Enos Slaughter, Harmon Killebrew, Johnny Mize, Rick Reichert and Dick Enberg. The NFL player-of-the-week wanted to sign it too, told him thanks but no thanks.

When my mom went on her cruise back in November she sat with a lady during dinner that said she and her daughter had met and spoke to Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley while they were inside the Atlantis visiting. Oh I was so jealous when she told me that... Michael Jordan is the one star that I would probably faint if I would have ever met him in person. He was my hero when I was little... cheezy isn't it.. lol http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Because we used to live in Southern California I have met quite a few well known people. But the best story took place back in the early 80's. My mom went on our annual 4th of July picnic back up in Mendocino county. I couldn't attend. She called me when she was back home telling me all about the nice hippie guy she had met and how much he had enjoyed her potato salad. She said she thought his name was Larry and he had a band called the Happy Dead People. Of course it was in fact Jerry Garcia from the Greatful Dead. We met alot of the musicians from the San Francisco summer of love era at those picnics but the one time I couldn't go and I miss out on meeting Larry!!!

Hi. When my ex and I got married in Las Vegas in 1990, we rode in the elevator at the Las Vegas Hilton with Roseanne & Tom Arnold. We definitely weren't fans, so we just ignored them. Redd Foxx in the casino at the old MGM in Las Vegas, The Oak Ridge Boys and Nipsey Russell at Harrahs in AC, John Candy (took a picture with us and talked with us for quite a while as did Redd Foxx) at Tavern on the Green NYC, Super Dave Osborne at the Rio in Vegas, Winona Ryder at a small restaurant in NYCs Little Italy and Andrea McArdle (also very nice) at Tropicana in AC. McArdle was a thrill since I have seen her on Broadway in Les Miz several times (have seen Les Miz 13 times on Broadway). Guess you can see, I spend some time in the Casino's!

I work for the state of California in the Los Angeles State Building. You would think that at some time I would see Arnold Schwarzenegger since he is our Governor and he does have an office in our builing. His office is on the 16th floor and I work on the 11th floor. But, no, haven't seen him at all. I haven't even heard rumors that others have seen him.
I've only been on two short cruises, so I haven't seen anyone famous. But, living in L.A., we occassionally will see someone. I remember seeing Muhammed Ali many years ago in a coffee shop and Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell when we were all just checking out colleges for our kids. I was checking our colleges for my daughter and she was checking things for Kate Hudson. This was back in 93 or 94. By the state building where I work, they do a lot of filming of movies and TV- Keifer Sutherland (24)is one I saw a few months ago.

While we were on vacation In California last year we met Mike Bibby (Sacramento Kings and my son's favorite basketball player) in ESPN Zone. We were there for dinner and he was on vacation with his family and staying at the Disneyland Hotel, same as us. My son happened to have his Bibby jersey on that nite and got it autographed while he was still wearing it. Needless to say that was the highlight of his trip!

Got to meet Gerry Adams of Sein Fein at a reception for him at the NJ Governors Mansion. We are friendly with the Governor (although different political parties) and the Governor is the former mayor of our town and we also belong to the same American-Irish Association.
My political activism since 1972 even gave me the opportunity back then to meet then President Richard Nixon (I worked for CREEP - Committee to Re-Elect the President in 1972).

It wasn't on a cruise, but we went to see him at his theater in Branson. After the show he was signing autographs. When it was our turn he asked my wifw where she was from. When she anwered, "Minnesota" he replied, "Oh yeah, I'm from Minnesota too!" He had her going for a couple of seconds, but when she figured it out she took a small swipe at him with her purse. He got a big laugh out of it, but the security guard behind him didn't.

Hmmm...fun thread! I live in LA, so random run-in's and sightings have just kinda happened over the years. the better ones- kirk cameron and wife (chelsea noble) sitting next to us at the la philharmonic. the cast of 90210 filming thier college "big game" episode in the middle of campus. arnold cruising through the streets of Santa Monica in his Hummer in 1999- who knew he's become governor? bill cosby speaking at my college graduation, but i was about 300 feet from him (lol). and my favorite- during lunch at the usc with my girls we look over, and who's at the table next to us? tom green and drew barrymore! nobody besides the 4 of us even noticed them. I heard he's been fine since then (health-wise)...

Many years ago when I was a young teenager I rode alone on an elavator in the New York HIlton with Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits).
When Bobby Orr was a rookie with the Boston Bruins he lived across the street from me during the Hockey season. He was speaking at a breakfast I attended and I was asked to drive him home. What a task for a 17 year old!!
When we cruised last year with my cousin and her kids her teenage daughter asked who Potsie(Happy Days) was. She had met his teenage daughter onboard but had no idea of who he was. He was vacationing with his family.
Hope for an End

Paul and Heather McCartney (weren't married yet) were staying in the same cottages in New Orleans and we saw them in the pool. I still can't believe that! My husband says, "how's the water?"...Paul says in his Liverpool brogue..."it's actually quite refreshing". Then he just talked away...I was as numb as if I had just been shot up with an IV of Novacaine.
Barry Gibb with his wife and family in Tampa, FL when were staying at the Don CeSar. They were very, very sweet people. His wife was about 8mos. preggers wearing a jet black bikini with matching underarm hair. But she was very pretty.
Haley Joel Osmond on a flight to Hawaii. He walked passed my seat in the aisle and for some reason, I was thinking he was a child I knew from home. I really came close to taking him by the arm and saying, "hey..what are doing here? Where's your mom?" I am so glad I caught myself. The friend I was with said she had the urge to do the same thing. Then we both realized who he was.
Parker Jamison, Jamison Parker...I never can remember which way his name goes. He was also on a flight with us going from the island of Oauhu to Kona. His little girl that belongs to him and Kirstie Alley was with him and the rest of his family.
For some reason, we had conversations with each and every one of these people. We didn't approach any of them for recognition of their status or to take pictures. I think that's why they must have felt comfortable enough in speaking to us. All small talk, nothing about who they are. I still remember how surreal it was to realize that Paul McCartney was actually making small talk with my husband and I. That famous voice that we idolized for so many years was actually directing conversation our way. WILD!
Didn't meet these two but, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas rented a home from some friends of ours when they were in our home town filming Crazy in Alabama. My daughter was a receptionist at the spa that Melanie patroned the entire time they were filming. Our friends regretted the rental arrangement for undisclosed reasons.
My husband is the one that always recognizes celebs right off the bat. I usually just say...Oh, doesn't he look like so and so?

I iused to work in a pretty famous Inn in Vermont, the Kedron Valley Inn. (It's the one from the Budweiser Christmas commercials, with beer wagon pulled by the clydesdales (sp?). It's in Woodstock, Vt and there are always some famous people staying there. Michael J. Fox had a home in the area and used to come for dinner with his family alot (until the retarded innkeeper made such a fuss over hime every time he was there, he stopped coming!) Very cool guy, very real, great kids, sweet wife! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Charles Broson also lived in the area and used to come in for every holiday with his family for dinner. Hate to speak ill of the dead, but he was a total jerk! He wouldn't even sign his credit card receipt because he never gave autographs and thought you were going to keep it or sell it! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
Also waited on Kevin Nealin(sp?) (from Saturday Night Live) and his wife on their honeymoon. Nice, but a bit odd. They both brought their parents with them and the six of them hung out together all week, it seemed! Odd honeymoon, but they were very nice.
Met a couple of the NE patriots a month or so ago where I work now, but don't remember which ones(Much to my husband's dismay!) They were all very cool!

We met Mohammed Ali at the Atlantis during our cruise in April. He was at the area where you get off the bus for the tour. He hammed it up for pictures with everyone, pretending to fight with the boys, kissing the girls on the cheek, and doing bunny ears. We got a great picture of him with my son. Friends of ours stayed there for a week and saw Brittany Spears, Puff Daddy, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, and Donovan McNabb just to mention a few. They actually played craps with P. Diddy and several others.

Hootie and the Blowfish were playing golf in the foursome in front of ours in Bermuda right before they hit it big (we were on the Song of America cruise there). We were backed up so we were with them in a few tee boxes throughout the day. Pretty good golfers. I didn't know who they were but someone told us afterwards.
I also played golf (and was paired with) Bud Harrelson in a charity golf tournament. Nice guy, but I couldn't bring myself to ask him how his fight was with Pete Rose in the '73 playoffs. We didn't even talk baseball, just golf.
Kind of met Paul and Linda McCartney in NYC in the late 70's. They stopped walking to let us take their picture (just one!).

Back in 1962 (I was about 8 yrs old), Ann Margaret was performing at a teen club dance at the recreation center across the street from where I grew up. I was waiting outside the gym where the dance was held to try to sneek a peek when she came out for a walk. I walked around the park with here and we chatted the whole way. She was very nice and friendly.
In the 80's I was flying to Hawaii with my sister and we were sitting next to Belinda Carlyle of the Go Go's.

What a fun thread http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I am a native Southern Cal girl, who nows lives in Tennessee. During my years in California I met lots of celebrities. I never asked for autographs, but had very nice conversations with them...Leonardo DiCaprio, Leslie Neilson, Glenn Campbell, John Lithgow, Ron Howard and family at the Los Angeles Zoo, Tina Yothers, Michael J. Fox, Richard Nixon (Yes, President Nixon), Billy Zane,
One of the biggest star highlights was after I got to Nashville and got to go onstage with my daughter at the Grand Ole Opry as part of a fundraiser..... We had a backstage party with Leann Rhimes, Vince Gill, Michael McDonald (Doobie Bro), The Raibon Brothers, Peter Gabriel, Alan Jackson, and my all time favorite, Olivia Newton-John. She was the nicest celebrity I've ever met. This was the only time I was completely star-struck... She is so outgoing and kind-hearted. Of course, DH loved that too, took tons of pictures of him with her and never got one of me. Dumb me, what do I say to her.... "I can't believe I am standing here with you. I used to sing Grease with a hairbrush as a microphone"!!!!!
I did take my daughter's baby book and had all of the stars autograph it... a very nice keepsake and a reminder of how much the celebrities give back to the community http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I have met Johnny Cash, he kissed my cheek when I was eight.
I met Jonh Ritter when I was an extra on one of his movies. We talked for a long time about the 1st war in Iraq (which was happening at the time). What a nice guy! No airs about him.
I met Jamie Lee Curtis when I was an extra for the film "My Girl". She is a *B*. Not nice at all! I also met Maculay Culkin and the girl (can't remember her name) on the set. Very spoiled!

I met Michael Bolton at a CD signing here in Miami in December. He was scheduled to be there at 12:00, so I got there at 11:30. There was a long line, but since I'm a member of his fan club his management team put me 1st in line. He shook my hand and I got my picture taken with him. I've attended many of his concerts, but had never spoken to him.

Sailed on Maiden Voyage of Conquest out of NO in Nov. 2002 Met Bob Dickinson, Pres and CEO of CCL, in hall outside our cabin on Empress deck on Embarkation day. He must have been using one of the suites across hall while the ship was in NO for charity event.
Also, for you New Orleans people, Morris Bart was on the maiden voyage of the Conquest. Ran into him many times, thought he looked familiar, tried to figure where I knew him from, and finally after 2 days figured it out.

We sailed Celebrity Galaxy and Regis Philbin was on vacation with his wife and his manager.
Sailed on HAL Zuiderdam and saw Johnny Winter
of Rock fame at the table beside us. He was with his wife's family and the little 5 year old boy would come over to our table to see our daughter so I asked him what his last name was and it was Winter. I asked him who the man was with the white hair and he said it was his
Uncle Johnny. I never got the nerve up to ask for an autograph but I did get Regis's autograph for my daughter.

I have seen plenty of celebs at places you expect to see them like Michael Jordan at a Bulls game or Oprah Winfrey at the Oprah Winfrey show but only once have I seen any celebrities by chance and even that wasn't so much by chance. I saw Walter Payton and the Rev. Jesse Jackson at a Bulls game once. It's not unusual to see celebs at major sporting events. And Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I ran into Scott Sanderson (former Cubs pitcher from the 80's or early 90's, I think). We were in a restaurant and I turned a corner and almost bumped into this guy. I had no idea who he was. Later, after we sat down, my BIL points out this guy and told me he was a pitcher for the Cubs. Then I realized that he was the guy I almost bumped into.

Did you know that Eddie Murphey bought the little island that you pass on the ferry ride to Blue Lagoon...the one with the lighthouse? It's all his...isn't that wild? And our ferry bartender told me that Michael Jordon and Whitney Houston both own mansions that you can see on the same boat ride past Paradise Island...they are on Paradise Island, as well as other stars who own homes there! The land on the island goes for $1000 a square foot!

Now I'll just have to hang out here more often to see if this group is as twisted as they see. Oh, we have early seating.

Brushes with Greatness:
Let's see - met Red Skelton in college when her was in town for parent's weekend and I served him a drink at the bar I worked at. I met George Burns and Bob Hope a few years later when I worked at a country club. (Also Wonderwoman - she was with Bob. Linda somebody?)
Met Fabio on an airplane; met Kevin Spacey while an extra on one of his early movies; spoke to Walter Mondale in the frozen food section of the grocery store (OK - he passes for a celebrity in Minnesota!); met Paul Wellstone and his wife; met some of the original Drifters on a cruise...

One time I was flying from LAX to SFO and the flight left from a way remote gate. I was very early for the flight but went out to the gate to read or whatever. No one at the gate yet but there was a little bar, about 10 stools, that had just opened. The bartender was still setting up and there was one customer. A guy about my age or a little younger. We struck up a conversation and shot the breeze. He had a British accent and was pleasant and funny. We talked and laughed for about 45 minutes. Then others started to arrive at the gate. Then somebody saw this guy I was talking with and rushed over to him. In seconds he was surrounded with women going nuts over him. He looked at me and said, " You don't know how great it was to talk to someone who had no idea who I was." He was the star Doctor on General Hospital, have no idea what his name is.

When I worked for a pediatrician in Kona, Hawaii We saw children of Jeff Bridges...wife brought them in and about six weeks later Beau Bridges called and asked for me...said his S-I-L said to call if the kids were sick. He came with his wife and we saw one of the children and he visited with the doctor and myself for 1/2 hour. Another day while waiting to go in a restaurant Kurt Russell went by with the kids. Just having a day at the beach.

My wife and I sailed the Sensation for our Honeymoon in 1995. I happened to be strolling through the Casino the first night when I ran into Emmitt Smith. Add to that the fact that I'm a life long Dallas Cowboy fan, and it made for a memorable encounter. He was there with his then girlfriend and his family, and was really doing his best to spend time with them and maintain a low profile (as much as you can being a celebrity on a Cruise Ship). However, a number of times during the week I saw people come up to him and ask for autographs, sometimes at the most inappropriate times, and he was always very friendly and gracious. Certainly solidified the respect I continue to have for him.
Side note...my wife happened to be taking some pictures of me climbing Dunn's River Falls solo when I happened to pass a group that included Emmitt. I motioned to my wife to get some pictures of him, so in our Honeymoon album we have some great pictures of Emmitt climbing the falls!

This was not on a cruise and it wasn't even me that met them, but my friend worked for CBS last year as an intern on the Bold and the Beautiful. As a going away gift after her internship, they gave her an extra role. She handed one of the lead actresses a tissue during an AA meeting. She then worked on the movie "Starsky and Hutch" starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. She was really excited about meeting Owen Wilson but she had to walk him from his limo to the set and he complained the whole way about the walk and came across as a real baby. Ben Stiller was as nice as could be. She had to keep people from leaving a store so they didn't ruin the 70's appearance and he came in and talked to her afterward. She also had to take lunch to Snoop Dogg in his trailer and said that he was nice but creepy!

I have a picture of myself and Hubert Humphrey from the 60's..he was running for president and campaigning at the auto factory where my dada worked. The newspaper photographer was there and took the picture. HHH signed a campaign brochure for me..I still have it.
Also met Peter Benchley at Universal Studios in Florida in 1993. They were filming the Jaws 20 yr reunions special, and we were there for my son kyle's 9th birthday. He is a big Jaws fan, and the highlight of that morning was the Jaws ride attendant let him hold the prop grenade launcher from the ride. Ran in to Benchly about 20 minutes later, have a photo of him and the boys, and he autographed the days shopoting schedule and drew a shark on it that was saying Happy Birthday.Miss Universe was also there..Shawn Wetherby..To come full circle, Kyle is now 19 and works at Universal...driving the Jaws boats!
We also went on a wrestling cruise in 1995 on the Big Red Boat, met Steve Austin, Brian Pillman (Flying Brian..since deceased) Marc Mero and Sable and Alex Wright. Spent the day in Port Lucaya at the Lucayan resort pool, with Mero and Wright...really nice guys. They would call us whenever they came to Orlando to wrestle and give us tickets.
I have also met Cher, and Kimbrely Mays..(the little girl who was switched at birth)

When I was in college I worked at Cedar Point, a big amusement park on Lake Erie. I worked in the Games area, in an indoor arcade type place called Fascination. You had to sit down to play the game. When I came in one day this man was sitting on top of the back of the chair. I told him he needed to sit down. He stood up and he was the largest man I had ever seen and there was no way he could sit down and fit his legs under the table. So we laughed and he "sat" back down. He played for an hour or so and kids would come by and ask for his autograph. I finally asked him who he was and it turns out it was Magic Johnson.
My cruise related brush with fame? I was on the Fantasy one year, and it just happened to be in Nassau when Regis and Kathy Lee were filming there show from down there. We got tickets and went over and sat thru the live show and then the one they taped for the next day. I can't remember all the guests, but Hillary Duff was there, and Colin Ray (Country Singer).
I also met Dick Wooden and Willy Banger on the Triumph in March.

I don't think I would recognize anyone! I don't even worry about looking for someone important unless they are carrying the drink of the day. The closest I got to someone important was Ted Nugent's mother - she was our cafeteria lady in grade school. He had already graduated from high school when we moved into the neighborhood. My husband married Shotgun Red and his wife Daisy - for those of you who know Country stuff. Thats about it.

Meet and knew Dottie West she was from our home town. Her sister Diane still lives her and I see and talk to her ever one in a while.
My son when to school at Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro, Tn and played football there as well was a graduate assistant football coach. I went by the coach's office to see him on day and didn't realize that there was to be a concert in Murphy Center that night and all the crew etc was in the halls putting up the stage etc.
While I was waiting on my son to come out and meet me a guy walked out of his office and said, "hi, how are you", I said, "fine and yourself". About that time my son came out and I said I don't think I ever meet that coach and he said, "he's not a coach", that was Garth Brooks!! That was when he was really Rocking!!!, I about died!!!
In fact he and my son favor and he had been in there telling him how much they favored.
I as well meet and have a picture of me and Johnny Bench.
My ex sister in law lives in Nashville and re married a guy who writes songs and invited us to a studio for a recording by Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Glenn Campbell.
One more in Brentwood, Tennessee we were eating at of all places Shoney's there was a lady sitting across from us with a other lady. I keep telling my DH that she looked so familar. I would try to look when she was looking but she caught me one time and I said, "I sorry to ask you, but you look so familar" she laughed and said,"did you see the movie "Love Story", I said, "of course" she said, "I'm Ali" nice to meet you".
And about forget this one, meet and had my picture taken with Jeff Fisher, coach of the Tennessee Titans, he had a photo session and signed autographs before he spoke at a fund raiser her in our town.

Matthew McConauhey - while he was in Jackson, MS filming A Time to Kill (my mom lives there). Literally bumped right into him coming out of the bathroom in a restaurant. He wasn't even a star then, but he sure was gorgeous.
Matt Damon and Winona Rider (they were dating at the time) - met them at a cocktail party in Hollywood, for a benefit concert that I was a videographer for. Matt and I talked about how difficult it was for him to drop out of college. Really great guy. Too bad Winona was there. =;0)
Eddie Veder (of Pearl Jam) - same party. He was eating pizza and drinking wine.
Bonnie Raitt - same party.
Ani DeFranco - same party.
Tim Robbins - same party. I asked him if he surfed the web and he said, "I don't own one of those internets." HAHAHA This was in 1998. I probably enjoyed meeting him 2nd the most because he's my one of my very favorite actors, and Shawshank Redemption is my favorite move.
Tom Waits - same party.
Jewel - Kind of stuck up. I did the videography for a private concert that she gave for 100 people in Houston.
Jeff Gordon - Very nice. Met him at a sports show in New Orleans.
Sarah McLachlan - Incredible lady. Met her at another private concert given for 100 people in Houston.
Dennis Quaid - Uptight, but cute. My son played a photo baby double for the movie "Undercover Blues" which was filmed in New Orleans, and he was in the movie.
Park Overall - Used to be on the show Empty Nest. Met her while filming "Undercover Blues."
Kathleen Turner - held my baby and played with him. He played a photo baby double in the movie "Undercover Blues." She was really nice.
Tom Arnold - Funny. Met him while filming "Undercover Blues."
Others include:
Joan Rivers, Wolfman Jack, Ray Combs (one former host of Family Feud), Geraldo, Gordon Elliott. Met all of them at the NATPE (National Association of Television and Programming Executives) convention in New Orleans.
Paula Cole and Duncan Shiek - Both at private concerts held in New Orleans.
Patti Dahlstrom - was a former instructor of mine (and friend) at the Art Institute of Houston.
Laurie (Trading Spaces) - met at a Home and Garden show in New Orleans.
George Rodrigue (Blue Dog artist) - met at a book signing in New Orleans.
Steve Huston (former band member of Head East, a 70s rock group) - former instructor at The Art Institute of Houston.
Screamin Kenny (former band member of Steppenwolf, a 70s rock group) - former instructor at The Art Institute of Houston.
I think that's it, but I might remember more later.

I have only cruised 1 time so I have not met any celebrities on a cruise. I was an extra in the 84 movie "Invasion U.S.A" starring Chuck Norris; but only saw him.I walked next to Liberace through the Miami International Airport in 86 on my way to Basic Training in the U.S.A.F.I walked next to John Gotti and "friends" in a casino in AC in 88. I sat next to Mark Shapiro who was OJ's lawyer at a Boxing event in Nov 99 in LV.I saw various people at that bout.I met Evander Hollyfield in a mall in Jensen Beach a few years ago.Very nice guy.I saw OJ in a car driving in West Palm Beach a year ago.I have met several "Heavy Metal" music bands throughout the years. My Aunt who lives in Daytona Beach saw The President a few years ago when he was having dinner at a neighbors house on the next street.Thought I would mention that 1.

Many years ago, early 80's my son and I were on QE2 out of NYC and Robert Kline was the headliner. He was seated at the next table in the dining room. Also was at a dinner in Philly when Emeril Lagasse was at the table behind me. He was very quiet and low key. My husband kept telling me to stop turning around and looking at him. Was in an elevator once at FAO Schwartz in NYC with Harriett Nelson from the Nelson's. In fact, that was after my very first cruise in 1967 on the Queen Fredericka which was soooo.... very awful, I had to cheer myself up by going shopping when we got off the ship. My very best celeb, however was Muhamad Ali in the early 70's when he was one of the regular customers where I worked. He stopped in about once a month and was the most polite and kind person. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
